2005 My Year in Review

Early, in 2005, I decided to buy a whiteboard to keep track of my personal goals for the year. I hung this whiteboard in my kitchen, and every quarter, wrote in new goals for myself. Here is a picture of the whiteboard: (Click to enlarge the picture)

Q1 2005:
  • Write rough draft of Tarot (A horror script I was working on). I fell short of Q1 just barely though. I finished it on April 6th. It was 114 pages.
  • Get a Green Belt in Six Sigma (this is job related, Continuous Improvement). Completed.
  • Get a way cool honey. I thought about this, and after the rediculous long distance relationship I was in, I decided to take the year for myself and accomplish these personal goals before going out in trying the relationship thing again.
  • Be Fabulous. I checked that off as soon as I wrote it ;)
Q2 2005
  • Be Fabulous. Again, an easy task :)
  • Go to Australia and have an excellent time. This was one of the high points of the year! What a great trip! Pics of highlights can be seen on my main site (www.fallenstar.com) in the trip section.
  • Finish Final Draft of Tarot. It didn't happen in Q2. There were a few drafts that came after the first draft and before the final draft.
  • Finish Studying for PMP (Project Management Professional Exam). This took up a lot of my time. I had to do this for my career (and wanted to for personal reasons). What a huge help it turned out to be. This took a lot of time away from anything else, including working on Tarot.
  • Join some groups. Like I said, Studying for the PMP Exam took up a lot of time. I did however start going to Drag Queen Bingo! at Hamburger Mary's every Wednesday. So, I guess that counts. I have made friends there and am now known as a regular. :)
Q3 2005
  • Be Fabulous. Start off the third quarter right!
  • Pass PMP Exam. Ta-Da! I did it! I took the test and passed it in August! It was a great Birthday Present to myself.
  • Finish Tarot. Again, I worked on another draft, but it wasn;t the final one.
  • Start Book. I had this idea to write a book with my friend Sheldon and have him take pictures for it. It is a good idea. We started the outline for it.
  • Finish rough outline for Void. This is a new script. I didn't finish the outline, but have about half of the beats done.
  • Finish Website content. Lou had finished (for the most part) my site, and I filled it with all kinds of content. From writing words, to scanning pictures and uploading etc. www.fallenstar.com was opened to the public! My life was now online for the world to see. (Business cards and Postcards followed!)
Q4 2005
  • Be Fabulous. Check!
  • Finish Tarot (3rd Draft). Finally it is done and shelved!
  • Send Tarot to agents. I didn;t get around to doing this. With working on the Halloween costume, preparations for Christmas and my job, time was short.
  • Finish Project "K". I had this idea for an invention. I discussed it with my friend KD and she agreed to help. She got the material and was going to put it all toegther but she also ran out of time. We do plan on finishing it.
  • Get patent on Project "K". We will do this after we finish the prototype next year.
  • Finish rough outline for Void. When the mood hits ya, ya write. The mood didn't hit.
  • Start book. No time because...
  • BONUS - Get promotion at work! My Six Sigma Green Belt and my PMP paid off. I transitioned into a different department at work, Program Management. I finally left the tiring world of IT. More opportunity and more pay, gotta love it!
  • BONUS - Visit back home. I went back hme for a 4 day visit in November. I had such a great time. My Mother had no idea I was coming! I got to see my family and my friend Barb and her new family. It was a great visit and when I returned to my home in Cali., I was a bit homesick.

And that is my year in review! Some goals I hit, and some I didn't. This wasn't everything I did in the year, just some major goals I wanted to hit. Which basically boiled down to three things:
  1. A new Job.
  2. A new work of expression (Tarot).
  3. A way cool vacation on the otherside of the world.
I plan on continuing this goal thing as I can see the benefits of it! But next year, I'll be posting my goals at the beginning of each quarter instead of just at the end of the year.

I had myself a Merry Little Christmas...

Oy, where to begin!

Let's see. Midnight Mass was actually fun. Saw some people I haven't seen in a while had a lot of laughs and hugs. A very nice evening.

Christmas Day/Night was a blast! I opened up my presents from my family in the morning. Dizzy and Doodle also opened their stuff...An Ionic brush, a remote controlled toy as well as several small toy with capnip and a scratch pad).

It was a nice small cozy group of friends. Me, Terry, Morticia, Walter, David, Lou and Billy. We ate the massive dinner I prepared for everyone and then we sat around being too stuffed to move. We each took turns opening the tons of presents on the floor and then had dessert. Mmmm. Boy, that fruit tart went in a snap (*snap*) haha

We were all set to play games when Walter declared he had never seen Sex and the City. (Morticia got me the entire series box set for Christmas!) so we put on an episode, then another, then another haha. 6 episodes in all! Walter is now hooked!

Everyone stayed late laughing and having fun. It was a great night.

Yesterday, I got up late and I took Terry to see Brokeback Mountain. The theater was packed! We had to sit in the second row! I'm SO glad the movie is doing that well! After the movie we had Christmas dinner leftovers (YUM!) and vegged.

Today, we met Walter down in Weho at the French Market for brunch. It was a good time. We then went shopping in the mall for a bit and I bought a new vacuum cleaner (got mad at my last one and threw it out). It's a bitchin' Dyson. It better work like that gay British guy says. I seem to have no luck with vacuum cleaners. We just got done eating the last of the Christmas dinner leftovers and so tomorrow the diet begins! hehe

Below are just a few pics from Christmas night. I'll have to post more on my main site. Enjoy! As always, click to enlarge, and for Christ's sake hit the comments button to comment! :)

Here is a pic of Lou and Terry (and part of Senatr's ass). I think this was taken close when when people were just comin'.

Morticia and Walter. Put down the laptop David! Wow, David's shirt is very Christmasy. We should have put him under the tree.

Good pic of Walter too! He was probably saying something sarcastic! :)

Senator's look says it all. Haha Morticia and I got him a gift certificate for Burke Williams. Morticia got a huge box from Lane Bryant and wrapped Senator's gift certificate in it. He wasn't too happy. haha. We got a laugh though! :)

Merry Christmas Eve!

Merry Christmas Eve all!

Just a quick update as I have a guest.

All is now ready for the big dinner! All of my chores are done!

I went to Porto's and picked up the desserts for Christmas dinner. Terry came in when I was there. Porto's was VERY crowded as usual for a holiday, but Mmmm worth the wait!

I came home, hung out with Terry a bit and then got to work making the stuffing. After that I cleaned the turkey and now it is time to relax.

We are gonna go out to dinner and then relax before we do midnight mass. Yeah, I know I'm a non believer and Terry is a Jew but I have to go to see if my sister's friends's prophecy will come true! :)

Plus a chance to hold a candle and sing while surrounded by hundreds of other well dressed guys? Now THAT'S a gay man's Christmas! haha

An Eric Christmas!

Here are 2 pics of my living room as of a few days ago. :) I since wrapped the presents and palced them under the tree. Sorry for the blurry pics. Dunno why they came out blurry, but I'll be taking more on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. As always Click the pic to enlarge.

Here is a pic of my living room. Got the Christmas tunes playing on Dish Network and Dizzy is sleeping on her spot on the sofa. That's usually where we nap. Doodle must be under the tree. Her and Dizzy have taken to eating the branches. When all is quiet you can hear *crunch* *crunch*. They chew the branches off and drag them to the middle of the living room!

Here is basically the same picture but with using the flash. I didn't use the flash at first cuz without it, you get an idea of the comfy feeling all the Christmas stuff gives my place. :)

Shopping is done!!!

Christmas shopping is now officially done!! Even my quest for the Honey Glazed Carrots!!

I even stopped by Petco and picked up a few more things for Dizzy and Doodle (kept hidden in the bedroom until I wrap them) Hmm, which I should do after this post.

Then, I just have to clean tomorrow and all will be ready. :)

I can't wait.

I had a nice conversation with my Mom tonight. Off and on we talked for almost 2 hours. We always laugh a lot. :) I told her I'll be coming home in Feb. for another visit. It's so nice not to be in IT anymore. I can actually plan stuff on the weekends now.

This year was a big prep year in various aspects of my life. Next year will either be to buy a place or just totally revamp my place while I wait a bit more for prices to drop (they are leveling off now). But more on that next week when I do my year in review! Oh Boy! Aren't ya excited? Have you just pee'd your pants thinking about it? Well my friend, stay tuned to this very exciting blog and you'll be reading it soon enough!

Officially Winter, Officially feeling better!

Welp, calling out yesterday was the right thing to do. I got my wrapping down and stayed in bed the rest of the day/night. I sweated everything out and today...ta-da I'm Faaaabulous! :)

Whew. It would have sucked being really sick for Christmas!

After work today, I am going to go shopping for the rest of my Christmas dinner items and tomorrow I will clean the rest of my place so everything is clean for Christmas and for when Terry comes to visit!

All is ready! Turkey has been taken out of the freezer and put in the fridge to defrost.

Dizzy was a sweetie, she didn't leave my side at all when I was sick. :) Doodle on the other hand, was running around my place eating the Christmas tree and being her playful self trying to get me to play with her. :)

Welp, back to work! :)

PORTO'S! and sicky-poo

Welp, This mornign I ordered my dessert's for Christmas dinner.

I ofcourse orderd them through Porto's Bakery as nothing else compares (http://www.portosbakery.com). I ordered the 1/4 sheet of Tres Leches with Whipped Cream and the 11' Fruit Tart. Mmmmmm. They are sooo yummy!

Last night A big sickness hit me. I have been avoiding it for a month now but yesterday it hit hard. After work, I went home, ate something and had the chills so bad I just hopped into bed. Dizzy joined me to keep my company. I was shivering so much my teeth were chattering! And then my pillow was burining hot. Staying in bed and sleeping all night helped. My fever broke and today I feel much better but have a sore throat. I am going to leave work early and spend the rest of the day in bed just to make sure I get rid of this thing quickly!

It is *SO* windy here today. The wind coming in the front lobby sounds liek the lost souls of little children screaming...

Shopping with a Butterball on Brokeback Mountain

Welp, on Friday night I went shopping. No Butterballs were found. I then went out with Morticia do do more shopping. We both got some stuff done and we met up Saturday to do more. We rocked on Saturday, completing almost everything we both had to get. I also mailed all my presents back home. They should get them on Wednesday.

AND...

I got my Butterball turkey! 24.19 pounds! Oh it's Glorious! Hopefully this year, dinner won't be haunted! I also bought a few things for Christmas dinner and started to clean the apartment in preperation for the big day.

My menu (so far) consists of:
Wine
Asti (Mmmm)
Soda
Water (Regular and Propel! haha)

Turkey w. yummy gravy
Stuffing
Assorted veggies
Mashed Potatoes
Cranberry Sauce

Tres Leches Cake
Fresh Fruit Tart

Hmmm, I think some things are missing, but I can't think of them right now.

Sunday, I went shopping again with Morticia and his nephew. Walter was back in Philly all weekend so I'll have to hear about his adventures today.

All I have to do is clean my place and find something for Terry and I'm all done. No Christmas cookies this year as I refuse to put on any more holiday poundage :)

Comments?

It has recently come to my attention, from Charlie Brown ("Merry Christmas Charlie Brown.") hehe that commenting isn't too apparent on the blog.

All, you do is click the comments hyper link at the end of the post you wanna comment on. You do not need an account to comment. You can put your name or leave it annon.

The only one that comments is my darling sister and I know many people read this thing!

Anyways, I didn't do anything last night. I took the night off from Bingo and just watched the Grinch. I also thought about some Christmas gifts to get people. Sigh, Christmas would be more exciting if I had a boyfriend but its still fun :) Oh, I forgot to post the pics of my place all decorated! I'll post them tonight maybe when I get back from my movie screening with Steve. (Forget the name of the movie now).

Welp, back to work after I get a cup of this gross coffee that tastes like ass. *blech*

Stuffed crust pizza and resumes!

YUM. I *love* Pizza-The-Hutt's Stuffed crust pizza with extra cheese! YUM! Mmm, and those cinnemon sticks with the icing! That's what I had for dinner last night. It was very very yummy!

Afterwards, I hung out with my friend Steve. It's been a little while since we hung out (Bingo a few weeks ago) and I helped him on updating his resume. It looks really good! He should have no problem getting a job with it.

Hmmm, that's it really. After he left, I went to sleep shortly there after.

Oh my stars, it's Bingo tonight! Gotta "Git on the horn" and see who's goin!

A bummin' kinda day...

...Today I just feel kind of blah. I have a lot of work to do which is always cool (Just started lunch break now) but I just feel blah. Just one of those days where you feel kind of lonely.

Tonight shoul dbe better though, I am supposed to help my friend Steve with his resume.

I think next year, I'll do another revamp of my life. Add/delete things I like/want to do for fun etc. and go through my list of friends and see who's been naughty and nice. Something just isn't clicking.

The promise of pictures goes fullfilled!

Okay all, Here are the pictures I have been promising for a while.

Here is a picture of Mike (friend andgreat ex-boss). This is from the boat parade last week. He won second place! This parade is going on a 4 year tradition now!

Here is a picture of his boat. He has a generator on board that supplied the air for the huge blowup dolls...(hmmm...) :)

Here is a picture of the boat that won first place. Pretty spiffy isn't it?

The next few pics are from last weeks Bingo night. What a blast it was! (As always). The guests here Adrienne (forget her last name). She plays Nichole on "Days of our Lives". She is veeeery pretty and super super nice! I hope she comes back again soon! As always, these pics were taken by Sheldon! As with all the pics, click on them to make them bigger!

Here is a pic of me and Adrienne. She is so sweet! I feel like TiVOing the soap opera now so I can see her! hehe

And ofcourse Bingo wouldn't be complete without our antics with Candy. We just love her so much! This week she kept smackin' my butt when she would walk by, so I had to get her back by untying her apron several times. And that was inbetween her sitting on my lap telling me what she wants for Christmas!

And the Bingo picture of the day was this! Candy trying to shove a Pepper Mill up my butt!

Ah, I love Bingo!

Pissy, Pissy, Poor "lil Missy...TERROR AT THE SUPERMARKET

Boy, Oh Boy. I am so pissed right now, I figured I'd get on the computer and rant.

All I wanted to do is buy some Propel water (YUM!) and a 24 pound frozen Butterball Turkey for Christmas. You think that would be easy wouldn't ya?

Well, I go to Ralph's (how handy...just a few blocks away!....yeh, Handy if they actually had anything...) They had *1* 6 pack of Grape Propell and *1* bottle of Arrowhead Mountain Spring Water. What the fuck? That store is always like that. I'm going to write a letter and tell the manager to do his/her job.

Tired of obnoxious fat people standing in the middle of the aisle being stupid, I thought "I'll go to Gelson's" that's supposed to be upscale, no riff-raff people. So I drive to Gelson's. Not a Single God Damn Turkey in the place! Ofcourse the butcher can barely speak any English (that's a rant for another time...) and I think (through is broken pitiful use of the language) that he said they had some small 16 pound turkeys in the back. I just told him no thanks (with a smile even). I figured, while I was there I could get some Propel. *BUZZ* wrong. They didn't have any. I just stopped pushing my cart and steered it over the the side of the Aisle out of the way (TAKE A NOTE AND LEARN THIS PEOPLE).

I figured, I'd check out the Ralph's at Coldwater and Laurel Canyon. Well, after squeezing through the door, some bitch had her cart in the middle aisle/doorway getting logs for her fireplace, I went to the back to find the turkeys. They only had small ones too. They had one 24 pound turkey but I didn't like the way it looked., never heard of the company. For all I know I could unwrap it and it would be some little mexican child that was smuggled across the border.

Not being able to walk 10 feet without waiting for some stupid people to move their cart out of the way, the pressure was rising in my veins. Reaching the water and discovering yet again, no Propel, I turned the corner to leave and smack, hit some bitch's cart. Well, I had it. She gave *ME* a nasty look, so with one big obnoxious gay hard bump with my hip, I smacked her cart and sent it wheeling down the aisle. I flashed her a fake smile and walked away. Servers her right.

God damn that felt good.

The Calico, The Tree and the Wardrobe

Welp, Doodle is fully back to normal now! Yay! It's so nice to have her back, all cute and playful! Thanks to all those who sent good vibes and prayers her way!

I have my Christmas Tree up now! It is the biggest and best tree I have ever had! Standing at 8 feet tall and 4 feet wide (Yes, I had a tape measure in hand at the lot haha!) The tree is complete with new stuff as well as some old favorites like my Leo Christmas ball, Darth Maul and my lawn chicken! The newest additions are these balls that have a character inside (Santa, A snowman, the good ol baby Jesus etc.) and they plug into the string of lights and the whole things strobes slowly through an array of colors...kind of like those fiber optic things). I just turned off all my lights to go to bed but I will take pics tomorrow...err later on today. I know, I know...I still owe pictures form the boat parade and bingo (Played with a "Days of our Lives" soap star who was very nice, funny and cute...some chick who plays Nichole on the show.

Friday, after the work Christmas party that was at the Hollywood and Highland complex, with yummy food catered by Wolfgang Puck, I went to see The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe. This was my favorite book as a kid and the movie did not disappoint! So spectacular! The woman who played the Witch was soo amazing. She stirred up so many feelings, I felt like yelling "Bitch!" at the screen and giving it the finger haha, but alas I didn't. So now it is 2am and I am very tired.

Oh, after the Tree trimming (or actually during, we took a break cuz it took us like 5 hours) David, Walter and I went to our favorite mexican restaurant, "Senior Fred". YUMMY.

Time Flies...

Wow time flies around Christmas time. My lazy ass hasn't updated my blog in a while.

Let's see, Saturday I had my writer's pitch meeting. How dull. The guy hosting it only did so to feed his ego on stage. Nnot knowing what I was doing, I grabbed the mic and stood up in front of the whole auditorium and pitched Tarot. It didn't go that well, but at least I did it and now know what to expect for when I pitch to someone who matters.

After the pitchin' session, I went to Castaic Lake and helped my old boss decorate his boat for the Christmas lighted boat parade. This has been a tradition now for 4 years! This year was kind of lame though. It was very windy and they wouldn't let the boats in the water, so instead of canceling it, they just kept the boats on the trailers and drove them around. Lame, but it was still fun with Peppermint Schnapps! We won 2nd place too!

Sunday rolled around and I hung up my garland by myself. It looks okay, I am happy with it. It really finishes off the Christmas look! Well, until I get a tree...

I realized something when I looked around at my place all decked out for Christmas...my next boyfriend will have to really be into it. I think that says a lot about a person. My last two boyfriends didn't decorate at all and they were duller than dish water.

Morticia came over later in the day and we grabbed dinner at the Macaroni Grill in the Sherman Oaks Galleria. It was a fun time...cute waiters!
I introduced him to Desperate Housewives too!

Monday night I just sat around and relaxed. Worked a lil more on the script. (My friend KD was right when she said a script is never done until you sell it!) I bought The Polar Express too. It was okay. Nothing too exciting though.

Last night I just did some laundry and watched "C Charlie Brown Christmas". I've been going through dishnetwork's menu and TiVoing all of the Christmas cartoons. The passed couple of years, I've only caught a few. It really makes a difference when you see them all! Really puts you in the spirit. Oh, I'm such a Christmas freak.

I'll post some pics of the boats probably tomorrow night.

Sings "Doodle Head...She's got the cutest Little Doodle Head..."

Welp, Last night Doodle finally started coming around...at 12:30 am!

I was just about to go in to go to bed when she came out in the living room and started to Meow. Well, I couldn't just go in and go to bed after her hiding for almost a week. I sat out in the living room, gave her a few pets and just watched her (didn't want to freak her out too much). Man, she was thirsty. She sat and drank non stop from her fountain for like 10 minutes!

She stayed in the living room all night (with Dizzy) and this morning she was walking around some more and meowing. She is still a bit timid but definately majorly improved. I didn't even see her scratch once!

On a side note, I think the fleas were only part of it. When I was watching her last night, she was looking oddly at her tail. She was wagging it very wildly, in every direction and looking at it as if to say "What's this?" I read a few months ago that that is some disorder (I forget what it is called right now) and that's what I thought she had before. (Makes note). Anyways, I am *SO* glad she is coming around.

Last night, I also finished and registered my 3rd draft of Tarot. I cut out 4 pages, bring the total down from 117 to 113. It makes it a bit tighter and quicker to read.

I am so diggin' Survivor too. I really hope Stephanie wins!

Wednesday Part 2

So I left work around lunch time to take Doodle to the doctor's office. MAN I love the vets there! They really take the time and care..wish my primary doctor was like that! :)

Doodle has/had fleas. I dunno how since her and Dizzy are both indoor cats. But that explains the licking and possibley the being scared. We'll see tomorrow. The medicine should have them all dead by tomorrow (the fleas that is).

When I got home I gave her a bath and put the medicine on her. She actually either liked the bath or she was too scared to move. Either way, I have a hunch she'll start returning to normal soon.

When I was done bathing her, she walked up to Dizzy (before disappearing under the bed again) and the look on Dizzy's face was a look of "ha ha, you're all wet!"

Welp, I then grabbed Dizzy and bathed her too! Ouchie! Getting her into the tub was a job, got scrtaches on my arm, but once she was under the warm water, she actually enjoyed it.

Hopefully, that will be the end of the cat drama and Doodle Head will return to normal very soon.

On some other notes...
I was humming this tune in work all morning. I would hum it at my desk, walking down the hall, getting coffee, before my meeting... and then it hit! Before I left for the day I was sitting at my desk closing out my programs and humming that song when I suddenly gasped as my eyes widened. It was music from my favorite porn! I started to silently panic, but just for a moment. Oh My God, I wonder if anyone recognized it! I began to look around, my imagination taking over I expected to see everyone looking over their cubes at me...looking at the pervert that not only watches porn but hums the theme songs at work!

But then I started to laugh...if anyone recognized it, then they've watched the same porn too (which in my office is doubtful). Oh my stars! Would the would-be porn watcher be cute? I stood up and looked around but alas no one was peering at me from their cubes. They were just working as usual.

5 o' clock and I am done my dinner (left over Chicken Mahkni from my favorite Indian restaurant that is conviently located right across the street). I am going to skip bingo tonight and work on my script that I have put off. (Bad bad Eric)

Oh oh, Rudolf the Red Nosed Reindeer is on tonight too! I'm gonan watch it and TiVO it. That's my absolute FAV Christmas show. I always wanted to live on the Island of Misfit toys (Just you shush about that one, my darling sister!).

A rough start...

Boy, It was tough to get going today. Doodle isn't doing much better. A new symptom has developed though, she licks herself constantly. She did that all night long when she was pressed against me.
I will be leaving work today to take her to her doctor's appointment. I hope they won't have to keep her overnight or anything, she's scared enough as it is.

While leaving for work, I locked myself out of the apartment. Sigh, how dumb haha.
Funny how the word "Fuck" just leaps to mind and comes out your mouth...well, it does for me often haha.
My manager had to get a key and let me back in so I could get my keys and start my day as a usual member of society...

I did remember, however to bring in my portable heater as my office has been a little chilly lately. I plugged it in and it blew out my outlet. haha sigh.

And that is how the beginning of the last day of November has gone for me...

I'll update when I get back from the animal hospital.

VCA West Los Angeles Animal Hospital, the best in animal care!

Thanks-For-Giving Holiday weekend

Well, what a weird weekend it was.

It started off on Wednesday after work. I went home and skipped bingo for the week. While at home, I got the urge for a Tommy Burger. I got in my car and preceeded to drive over. While on the way, at the intersection of Burbank and Laurel Canyon, I saw some bitch in a white minivan plow right into a homeless guy crossing the road. His shopping cart of all his stuff went flying and he flew up in the air with it. He smacked the mavement hard and wasn't moving. Blood ran from his head.

I immediately put my car in park and dialed 911. Busy. I dialed again, busy. Cursing at verizon wireless, I dialed yet again. Still busy. I put my car in drive and drove very slowly around the guy on the ground so I could park my car and try to help (Yes, no one bothered to help the guy). While trying to drive carefully around him, people started honking at me and yelling at me to move out of the way so they can continue with their mundane lives. This one asshole in one of those huge SUVs, actually had half of his car on the sidewalk trying to pass me. What the fuck? Sometimes I swear I come from another planet...

I gave a statement to police because I figured the guy was homeless and no one would care about him. They put the guy in an ambulance. There wasn't a sheet over him so I guess he was still alive.

Thursday came around and I went to the Universal Hilton with Walter and Morticia. Walter made the plans and he did a great job! It was a Thanksgiving buffet and they had every type of food you can imagine! Even the dessert tables *swoon* MMmm, chocolate waterfalls. We ate and ate and ate. Its so nice to eat like a pig on Thanksgiving and not have to clean up afterwards.
After dinner, I came home and the Christmas spirit hit me big time. But since it was still Thanksgiving Day, I kept the Christmas music off and the decorations in the closet.

Friday was officially the start of the Christmas season! I woke up, put on the Christmas music and after waking up, I began to decorate my place. All of my decorations went up except for my garland. (And only because I need help with it...need to have all the loops on the walls even).

Doodle began to have one of her episodes. She got all scared again and wouldn't come out from behind the toilet most of the day and night. When she did, it was to make a b-line for my lap or the bed where she curled up to me.

Thinking that I may have released bitchy ghosts of Christmas past, I burnt some sage. I don't think it worked...

Walter, Lou, David and Billy came over to help but 2 strands of my prelit garland were burnt out and broken (the wires seem to have melted together causing a short). So I went to target with Lous to see if I could get more. No luck. So we all ended up ordering pizza and watching the movie Gypsy 83.

Saturday, I drove all around looking for garland. I couldn't find any at all. So, I decided to use my noodle and calculate the length and size of my loops. If I make them longer and have the loops hang down 6 inches instead of 12, I should be able to make it around the room.

I didn't want to leave Doodle, so I stayed with her all day and night. I also watched Star Wars episodes 1 and 2.

Sunday came around and Doodle was still all freaked out. The Doctors said that if she continues to do so, they can perform catscans MRIs etc. Sigh. Poor little girl.

I managed to watch Star Wars episodes 3 and 4 while waiting for David to call to help me with my garland. He never called so I called him at 5:30 and left a message. An hour later he called and said he didn;t feel liek coming over. Sigh. I hate depending on other people for anything.

So now it is Monday morning and I am at work. Doodle seems to be doing a little better. She was walking around the bathroom (still afraid to leave it) but she was out from behind the toilet and playing with a toy I littered with catnip. If she isn't totally recovered by Wednesday, I will take her to the animal hospital.

I'm grumpy this morning.

My makeshift Christmas list made up while drinking a cup of coffe that tastes like ass:

  • Peace on Earth (and if that doesn't happen, then may a huge asteroid hit the planet and kill us all).
  • A boyfriend that isn't a total retard.
  • Our president arrested and tried as a war criminal.
  • 10 million dollars.

To Buy or not to Buy...

Lately, I've been thinking about buying a house or condo...The idea has been on my mind for some time now.

I do have the final final (yeah, I've said that before) version of my supernatural thriller script almost done and have been researching agents to send it out too. So, maybe I'll see if I can sell it first before I decide on buying something.

I do have a meeting on December 3rd. It's a group pitching session, so I get to pitch my story. Hopefully, my pitch will be well received and someone will want to read it and like it and buy it and...and...hehe

Today I actually thought about some of my crappy exs and how they really didn't live up to what the claimed to be in the beginning. It sucks getting excited about someone only to have them be a major disappointment. But there is someone for everyone, I'll find someone who has their act together and soon according to my fabulous sister who has a friend with strange magical powers! haha

I spent tonight doing laundry and ironing some clothes. I worked on the "final final" version of my script afterwards. So far, I've chopped out 3 pages that weren't neccessary. So the script will be tighter and be more of a quicker read.

Movado watch and the Goblet of Fire

What a nice weekend!

Saturday I hung out with Morticia. We went shopping in the mall ("Mmmm, Macy's..."). It was there I decided to buy myself a bitchin' high end Movado watch. It was my gift to myself on my promotion as well as a few other things. It was a toss up between 2 versions of the style, but in the end I picked the right one for me.

After shopping we met up with Walter and we all had dinner at Chin-Chin in Studio City. It was a fun dinner, great food, great company. Afterwards we sat around and talked for a while.

Today I went to Universal City Walk (one of my fav. places) and saw Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire on the IMAX screen (the only way to see a movie) with Sheldon and his family. I totally loved the movie! The seem to get better and better!

Afterwards, we ate dinner at Buca di Beppo. Yummy!

So, now I'm home and I have the season finale of Rome to watch (I TiVo'd it) followed by Desperate Housewives and some time with the cats.

A good weekend all in all!

A bingo sequel and a new job...

Welp, Anna Nicole showed up again last night at bingo and addressed the rumors.

What rumors you ask? Why, I'll tell you!

When she was at bingo last week, she kissed one of the bartenders (a girl), she then allegedly sent her car back for the bartender. What happened after that is speculation, but Anna did come in with a pair of handcuffs that she said were used...

Sometimes when I think I may want to move away, something completely stupid yet so funny happens. Where else could you live that when you go out to play Drag Queen Bingo, Anna Nicole walks in and you end up hugging her. Silly times like these I'm glad I live in such a hip city!

Oh! Sheldon won at Bingo for the first time! His prize was pretty crappy BUT he got to experience the joy of being pelted "All the way down and all the way back!"

It was my friend Steve's birthday too so I just HAD to mention it to Belle, she gave him some nice Birthday spankings! :)

Wednesday was my first day officially on my new job (finally! hehe). I mentioned before that I won't talk about work here so all I'll say is everyone seems really nice and I really like it so far!

A great vacation home!

Welp, I'm back from a trip home and I've got a few pics here of my family and friends. As always, there were so many pictures taken, it was hard to decide which ones to put in the blog.

Super Shuttle (da da da!) picked me up at 3am to take me to the airport (yes, I was verrry sleepy). My plane took off at about 6am and I landed in Philly at 4:10pm. I got my rental car (with Hertz NeverLost system! I have a GPS in my car and I swear I'll never go without again, even in a rental!).

Only my little brother and my "slightly" older sister knew I was coming home. I walked in and surprised my Mom. What a great visit. I wuv my mommy.

Day by Day account:

Friday night, I took my Mom, my brother Brian and his girlfriend out to dinner. We went to Red Losbter as that is my Mom's favorite. Then we came back home. I brought back (from myAustralian trip) and Australian comedy called "Mother and Son" that me and my Mom used to watch way back in the 80s. Since it won't play in American DVD players, Brian and I went to Best Buy and I bought the DVD adapter for his XBOX, Episode 3 for him (We were both major Star Wars fans when we were little) and the Star Wars lego game for XBOX (My friend Lou said it was so good, I had to buy it and check it out).

I was truly amazed to find out just how similar Brian and I are. It was funny hanging out with him. Even his girlfriend picked up on our mannerisms and how we joke around and stuff).

Anyways, we went home, watched an episode of Mother and Son, hung out talkin' then watched Star Wars until 2am. Needless to say, we were all tired, so we went to bed.

Saturday:
Mom and I went out and got "Yum Yum" doughnuts. Brian was saying how good they are, so while he was sleeping we snuck out. We also drive to the old house. Man, I'm telling you, the guy that bought our house should make scary movie sets...

After breakfast, Mom and I went to the store and bought my sister some stuff for the baby and some baby clothes for Barb's kid. Then we drove over to see my "FABULOUS" sister, her kids Mike and Katie, her husband Mike and her cute lil baby Krystin.

We had a fun time! It was my first time seeing my baby niece. She is soooo sweet. :) Was cool seeing everyone else too, especially my fab. sister. We used to argue like hell growing up, who knew we'd be this close today. She's really swell (gota kiss up, she reads my blog *wave* haha).

Afterwards, me and Ma came home and my sister Debbie came over with my niece Sarah. It was nice to see them too. Sarah is in 10th grade now and wow she's very pretty Hanging out with them was fun. When they left, I hung out with Mom Brian and Lisa until bedtime.

Sunday:
I went to go see one of my best friends Barby. I hung out wth her, her husband Sergio and their beautiful baby Sara. It was great to catch up! We even had lunch with Barb's Mom (always great to see her!) Barb and Sergio just bought a new house and it is way cool! Congrats guys! Sarah is so cute! I'll say it again "My lil Barby is all grown up." haha

Back home, Brian treated us all to chinese food and my Mom to a Hoagie! She does love her Hoagies...extra oil and peppers! I was feeling so tired from driving all over the place that we just stayed home, watched Mother and Son, chatted and played XBOX. Brian's girlfriend was right, she did kick my ass at Mortal Kombat. I did however successfully turn my Mom onto Desperate Hosuewives, even Brian loved it and wants to start watching it haha!

Monday, Mommy made me a nice Philly breakfast with Pork roll and toast! :) (She was so made all weekend that I didn't let her cook. I wanted to treat her the whole time I was home. In retrospect, I should have let her cook a meal. I know it would have made her feel good to cook me sometihing. Hmm, next time when I go back...) Patty came over with Krystin and we all hung out chatting before I had to leave for my flight.

And there ya have it. an almost complete account of the trip. And now here are some pictures! (Like you all didn't just skip right to them anyway!) Click on pics to make them bigger!

Here is a pic of me, Mommy and my beautiful baby niece Krystin-Nicole! Awww!

I am really gonna have to come home more often. I do miss my family!

One annoying thing though (on a totally vane fashion note) all my shirts this weekend look so shiny and gay in these pictures haha. They weren't shiny at all in real life. Hmmm.

This is my Mom and my niece Sara! We have such a big family, it's so cool to put pictures of my nieces together where one is a baby and one is in high school!

My Mom spent the whole weekend laughing. It was nice to see her all smiles.

My little brother Brian (little brother?! He's 31 now...but I'll always think of him as being 12 years old in his "pajamas with the feet in" and yelling "Fudgey Wudgey" with his "Fishman" face on the beach haha *inside family joke*) and his girlfriend Lisa.

I have no dount that if I lived back home, we'd be hanging out a lot. I miss him a lot too.

My fabulous "slightly" older sister, me and baby Krystin! Me and my sister laugh alot when we are together. It's always a good time!

Barby and me! She never changes! It was soo great to hang out with her. I feel good that everything in her life is working out great. Great husband (he's really fantastic!), great baby (very cute too) and a great house!

It was really nice to spend the day with her and her family!

Awww, Barb's baby Sara and me. She's such a good lil girl!

Gotta love her spikey hair hehe!

It's kinda weird though to see my Barby with a kid. Wow, we really DO go back a long way!

And that, my good people, was my vacation back home in a nutshell!

sings: "Anna Anna Anna Anna Anna Nicole she was at Bingo!"

Last night was the most fun night of bingo yet! As usual, Sheldon and I drove down but this time Morticia joined us, it was his first time at Bingo and what a great first time experience he had!

The guest ball callers were Lisa (I forget her last name but she's been in a alot fo movies including the new War of the Worlds) and Anna Nicole!

Both girls were very nice but Anna was so fucking funny! I'd love to know what that chick is on haha

I laughed so hard (plus got more than a lil toasty..on only *2* drinks!). My face hurt from laughing so much! Here are a few pics from last night (so many good ones but I can only post a few on the blog)...As always they were taken by Sheldon Green. My personal lifetime photographer haha (click on the pic to make it bigger).

Here is a pic of Anna trying to figure out how to work the microphone. As funny as this pic is, Anna never ever takes a bad picture! Always beautiful and/or entertaining!

This is a pic of Lisa and me. She is very nice and very funny! She really helped make the night a lot of fun.

And here is a pic of me and Anna! She actually won the first game of Bingo (although it was a tie and she had to reach into the "Bag of Crap, Bag of Crap!"

Last but not least is a picture of Morticia, Anna and me! "These are the circles were in with now, sweetie!" Edina from AbFab.

Weekend, no Weekend and a new job!

Not much to report in this post. As a rule in my blog, I will not discuss in detail 2 things: 1. Dates that I have in detail (out of respect for the guy I go on a date with) and 2. My job in detail as co-workers and friends read my blog and I can't very well discuss what I'm working on. That said, I mention these two topics only in brief in this post.

I spent Friday night cleaning up my apartment and doing some laundry.

Saturday, I did have a nice lunch date though. I had a nice time. But it was cut somewhat short because I had to go into work. We had a major function happening so everyone had to go. I worked from 4:30pm Saturday until 7:30am Sunday morning. Talk about being tired! :)

Later Sunday afternoon, I hung out with Morticia and Walter. We all went to PF Chang's for dinner. (I got very sick there one time but this time I was okay:) )

Today, I finally received my offer letter for my new position. I knew I had the job for a while now but it took time for the formal letter to come my way (lots of red tape I guess). Anyways, I am leaving the world of IT and moving over to the Program Management Dept. where I will become a Project Planner. It is exciting but so much to learn. It'll be weird working for my company on the business side of things instead of IT.

Today, I had my checkup at the dermatologist. All seems fine now. I can now officially close the book on my whole spider drama. The scare remains but it will fade. I suppose I'll use it as a prop throughout my life to assist in telling the tale! :) I should take a picture of it, but I'm too tired right now. Maybe if people ask for one :)

Welp, its 7:25 and I'm feeling tired and actually a bit sad tonight. I'm just gonna lay on the sofa with my cats for a bit.

Halloween and the Sith's Revenge!

Welp, I finally got the Halloween pics from Shel. I'm just going to put a few up here on the blog, but various pics from that night will be placed on my normal website. I am going to place them in a temporary location. If you go to fallenstar.com and click on Galleries and then artwork, you'll find the pictures there. Most likey this evening.

Halloween was a blast! I went down with Morticia and Shel. From the moment I stepped on Santa Monica Boulevard, my costume was a hit! I was surrounded by people taking photos, even Frontiers asked if they could take a pic!

I was Hurricaine Katrina and here are a few pics...

People wanted to hug me (because I was so soft and fluffy haha).

Mortica was Mr. Bean! He had is outfit down to a tee! hehe how funny! And one more pic of the two of us!

We saw these Harry Christnas dancing so I joined in :) It was a lot of fun!

I started a dancing frenzy so, because soon after, a lot of people joined in. I just remember looking up and being surrounded by all these Brides. hehe

We stopped in the Abbey for a quick chocolate martini, then it was out to the boulevard, where we ate and had an amazing time meeting people, taking pictures and admiring all the different kinds of costumes!

This carnivale in WeHo is said to be the biggest in the country! I am so glad I live in Los Angeles, a city where there is always fun to be had!

I took a personal day off of work the next day to recover :) I also went and bought Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith on DVD (of course) and watched that the next day.

What a great time all around!

A finished costume and pumpkins carved!

Welp, I hung out with Morticia again today. He helped me finish my costume! I wore it to my neighbors place and she laughed and laughed so I guess it's good :) (and that was without my face makeup on hehe).

We also went to the pumpkin patch and picked out a few pumpkins for carving!

Here is a pic of David being a retard with his pumpkin! :)

He did a really good job of carving it. It's a skull with a bat in front of a moon. It took him a little over an hour and it was worth it! Good job Morticia!

Here is a pic of me with our pumpkins. My pumpkin was of a cat. :) It took me about an hour to carve it. I'm going to take it to work tomorrow and enter it in the jack-o-lantern contest!

Below are a few pics of our pumkins in the dark! :) o0o0o0o scary kiddies!

2 More days 'till Halloween, Silver Shamrock!

Welp, I started off the day working on my costume still. All of the polyester stuff is now glued on (I love that hot glue gun, but got burnt a few times haha have a big blister on my hand. :)

Morticia came over today and we drove to WeHo. We had a nice lunch and a drink at the Abbey and we caught the end of the "Drag Races" (Drag Queens racing up and down Santa Monica). I love seeing drag queens in all their outrageous makeup and outfits!

We browsed around WeHo for a bit and then came home. We watched Halloween H20 on DishNetwork and chatted for a while.

Tomorrow, I plan on putting the finishing touches on my costume and then go to the pumpkin patch with some friends! We will pick out pumpkins and carve them and have a ton 'o' fun!

Halloween Laundry List!

So, I spent the weekend shopping for supplies for my Halloween Costume.

These items included:
Polyester filling
Barbie Dolls
Face makeup
White hair spray
Elmer's Glue
Krazy Glue (Because Elmer's wouldn't work)
Sheets (White and Grey)

Let me just say that, apparently, I am not an arts and crafts person. While gluing the polyester filling to the outfit, the glue soaked through and closed the pant holes...and then the pants got glued to the table haha

AND it didn't stick very well to the filling. So, after asking around I went back to Michaels and got myself a hot glue gun.

The costume is proressing now and I hope to get a lot of it done this evening.

What am I going to be?

Shhhh, it's a secret! I just hope it comes out looking faaaaabulous for the WeHo canivale!

B-I-N-G-O and Bingo was his name-O

Welp, Last night was the bestest night of Bingo yet. What fun! I went down with John Jr., and Sheldon. There we met Walter, David Senator and Dana.

A few reasons to celebrate, Lou got approved for his Visa and Dana got engaged :) We all got a lil toasty and Sheldon and David got way blitzed haha

We met Jenny there (She is a girl we met a few weeks ago, and she sat with us.
And now on to some highlights of the evening with pictures taken by Sheldon! (Who's Sheldon? Check him out on my friends section on the site).

I love this picture! Just a simple pic of Belle, David and I during a break in the game. Belle wasn't kidding when she says "I'll make Bingo whores out of each and every one of you!"

Here is a pic of Jenny. She was a lot of fun. We plan to hang out with her again next week.
Ya know...I think this is the closest David has ever gotten to a pair of breasts! haha

Jenny seems to be lovin' it though!

Here is the gang! Starting from the left, It's Jeff (Bingo Boy), Me, David, Some girl...I have no idea who she is..., Dana and John Jr.

Walter left before the picture was taken. :(
Although you can't see him, Sheldon was there, he took the picture! :)

Here is just a picture of me. I think I was trying to prove I could have a chest too. haha I failed.

I did win Bingo again though! Well, kinda. There was like 4 or 5 of us who one, including that guy James from Boy Meets Boy. He was a little snotty but he won the tie breaker and I had to reach into the "Bag of crap! Bag of crap!"

And what I pulled out was...

A home pregnancy test! Knowing that, I'll never need it (although it would have been fun to pee on the strip), I gave it to Jenny. Maybe she'll get some use out of it! hehe

Sheldon got really blitzed and he got carried away in an auction...He ended up bidding 120 bucks on a vacuum cleaner he didn't need. When I asked him why he bid on it (it really wasn't worth 120 bucks) he said "Because it was on TV!" haha the drunk. :)
His wife wasn't too happy.
Anyways, the money went to the humane society, so way to go Shel!

Bingo night wouldn't be complete without Candy! She was there making us all laugh as usual! Someone else had to reach into the "Bag of crap! Bag of crap!" too and they pulled out Depends. Candy wore them the remainder of the night on top of her jeans. She is such a riot. We love her!

I don't think David had any idea she was humping his leg haha!

So, there ya have it! If you've ever wondered what it is like to play Bingo in WeHo, this is it. It's great fun, although work the next day is a bit rough haha Right Shel? :)

Sunday Drizzle with the snotty blues

It's been drizzling here all day so far. I wish it would rain hard, I love the rain.

Anyways, I haven't been up to much since my last post. Just have had this cold that a lot of people seem to be getting.

It seems I have a case of folliculitis also. Since the antibiotics I was on got rid of all the good bacteria as well as the bad, when I shaved my skin got infected. So, now I have to see a dermatologist. It never ends!

I got the insurance letter today with totals for my spider ordeal. All I can say is I am *SO* glad to have health insurance. So far, according to the letter the bill is 42,000 dollars! But my portion is just 100 bucks. We'll see if that changes when I get the official bill.

Anyways, my apartment has been an absolute disaster. It hasn't been properly cleaned since I got bit so, this weekend I had enough. I spent 2 1/2 hours cleaning it Saturday. It looks tons better. I know I shouldn't be doing anything but resting, but it was to the point where it was embarressing. I'm usually a clean person too so it was a big deal.

So today I'm just at home resting watching tv and taking it easy, hoping my cold will go away. I am so sick of blowing my nose. Just how much snot can a body hold?

How I won Bingo by being a bottom!

(Click on any pic to make them larger...better for viewing!)

Last night was another great time at Bingo! This is a picture of Belle-Aire looking particularly fabulous! Don't mess with the Bingo bitch! :) The celebrity guest ball caller was the kid from "Who's The Boss?" All grown up now and queeny!

Just Shel and I went and I won Bingo last night while playing the "Top or Bottom" game. (You have to either get the top or bottom row to win). I had a feeling I was gonna win. As I got closer I got more and more excited. Until I got to yell the ALMOST triumphant "It's on!" (meaning you are one away from winning). Then it happened, with a turn to Belle, I politely waved my hand and yelled "Bingo!" The prize I won this time wasn't as good as my origins body product gift basket, but was fun. I won a months worth of free Bingo! (Woo Hoo), The movie Beaches on DVD, a Documentary on Matthew Shepard, a braclet thingie, a book and some other cool stuff!

Here is a picture of me just after Belle checked my card. I am about to take my walk where everyone gets to pelt me with their bingo cards! :)

This is our friend Candy. She is the most fabulous waitress at Hamburger Mary's and we love her! We exchanged numbers a while ago and she called to check in on me when I was ill from my spider bite. That was really nice. We plan to hang out soon. Shel made a CD for her called "Just like Candy" I believe and used this picture for the cover. Every song on the CD was entitled "Candy" from various artists. She loved it and was showing it off to everyone!
This picture was actually taken last week. She always makes these banners and walks down the aisle in front of Belle-Aire, trying to make her laugh. :)

Anyways, going to Bingo with a cold wasn't the smartest thing I could have done but I SO needed to have some fun. But yeah, I am paying for a it a bit today, ears won't pop and they hurt etc. But I'm glad I went.

Let's see my first bingo game I won was called "Rim Job" (that's where you have to get all the squares around the free space) and last nights was "Top or Bottom". I'm sensing a theme here...hehehe

Sick as a dog!

Woof woof. haha

Here I am on lunch break at work. I am feeling very very sick. The cold that I had on Saturday (that I thought went bye-bye) returned and like most sequels, it sucks big time. I have a meeting this afternoon, if it weren't for that, I'd so go home and lay down.

I'm all stuffy and my throat burns.

haha I am such a pussy when I get sick.

I haven't written in my blog for a bit and being sick is mainly the reason.

I think I came back to work too soon. Had I have known (guess my common sense took a vacation) that those anti biotics I was on for my bite, infection were so strong that they'd would knock out all the good stuff in my system as well, I would not have returned to work so soon.

I have to get it in my head that the body needs more time to heal (even though on the outside, things seem fine. Sigh. I not a young thing anymore... :( Still fabulous though! *cough* *weez* *blows nose*

"Yeah, real fucking fabulous."

:)

Sicky-poo

I was all jazzed to start on my Halloween costume today. But that will be put on hold as I am not feeling well at all.

While I was being treated for my spider bite and staph infection (was on iv anti biotics for 2 weeks) I was drained of not only bad bacteria and germs but the good stuff too. I cut myself shaving (in a few places) this week which is usually no big deal, but bad bacteria got under the skin and since I don't havce any good bacteria yet, it got infected. My face looks gross haha I am not allowed to shave for over a week either, so I can only imagine what I will look like with a weeks worth of stubble hehe

I started to go out with David and Billy today but came home because I had the chills and was feeling tired. So, my Saturday night will be composed of me in the sofa, under the blanket with the girls.

A toasty bingo night...

Okay, so I just got in from bingo and I am more than a bit toasted.

Bingo was a blast! People were askign where I had been, so I had to explain my spider drama... but we sat it a table full o girls...they werew so much fun! I had such a good time.

I went down with Sheldon and Walter and my face actually hurt from laughing so much!

I didn;t win but got a way cool gift bag! Very cool glass that lights up was included!

Plus today, I got my post cards and business cards (well got them yesterday actually)...they are fabulous and I was giving them out to all the pretty pretty i saw :) haha

A good time was had by all....but I am going to feed my hermit crabs now (yes everything else has finally died in my tank, although I haven't seen nor saw Lance lately...

Partdon the typoes if any, I'm too buzzed to care...and Dizzy and Doodle are playin' and bashin' the shit of my Luke Skywalker cardboard stand up (yes I STILL have it , thank you Barb)!

Shopping, Bargains, Drinking in WeHo

Today was a fun filled day with Walter. I met him at his church in WeHo and from there we went to Macy's. He gave me this 20% card that was good only for today.

Man, we had a fun time shopping! Shoes and clothes that were already 40% off were 60% off with his special discount card. Needless to say, throughout all the laughs were shared, I bought 4 very nice dress shirts, 3 spiffy ties and a nice pair of dress pants! Walter bought a way cool pair of shoes, some shirts and a gorgeous tie.

After our day of shopping, we headed to the Fiesta Cantina.

We got a little toasted (Okay, I got a lot toasted, being a light weight) on margaritas. Had a fun convo with some guys at the table next to us and laughed some more.

After our drinks and dinner, we went to Target to get little Billy (David and Lou's kid) his 13th Birthday presents for his party tomorrow. Trying to pick out his presents when toasted was fun! haha!

I was a lil tired after all that so we went back to Walter's church where I had parked my car. His friends had just arrived from New Orleans. They went there for animal relief. It was fun to see them but also fun to see some results of my donation and their efforts. They brought back 2 beautiful and fun dogs. They are fostering them for 3 months while they wait for their families to claim them (They are on the petrelief website). If their families don't claim them, they plan on adopting them! :) It was just a heart warming moment, I felt all happy on my way home driving up Laurel Canyon.

On the way home, I thought it wouldn't be right coming home with all my stuff and nothing for Dinnzy and Doodle, so I stopped at Petco and bought them their Nutro canned food (No by-products!) they love that stuff!

When I got home, I fed them their "din-din" and rotated my matress (which was something I've been meaning to do for a few months now). so it's 9:28pm and I am just in the mood to lay on the sofa, watch some Wisdom channel and relax with the cats. Just in the mood to watch some documentaries and nap. :)

These NEW shoes were made for walkin"...

I can't help myself with a schnazzy pair o' shoes!!

Tonight, I found myself really tired after work and was starting to fall asleep on my sofa and I thought "I'm gonna fall asleep if I stay home instead of working on my script." So I called Walter and we went to see "Proof" at the Sherman Oaks Galleria. It was an okay movie. Performances were great but I didn't like the ending. Talk about anti-climatic! It was like they just ran out of script and stopped the movie! But afterwards we went to look at shoes. I saw this fabulous pair of Cole Haans on sale for only 100 bucks! I had to get them. As you can see in the picture, they are light brown but the top is this green colored mesh. Very cool! And since this fall season is all about earth tones, I'll be up to date fashion wise! You never know when Joan Rivers and her daughter will come a knockin'!

Bites, fires and scripts, Oh My!

Here is an updated picture of my wound. As you can see, it is coming along nicely. The hole has filled in and looks more like a burn now. You can see a thin layer of skin just start to creep its way over it from the edges. My daily care routine is Neosporin with a Band-aid over it. I can't wait until it is all healed. I've been staying away from the gym until its okay. I don't wanna take the chance on it getting infected again.

*sniff sniff* You can smell the fire in the air. When I left work today, all I could smell was the massive fire. All of those trees burning. Little pieces of white ash blew past me too as I made my way to my car. With the fire only 5% contained, there is sure to be a lot more destruction before its over. Mother Earth sure does seem like she's getting fed up with us humans...

I posted a new article in Arggh! today (accessible on my website in the Gallery section). Today's rant was again about traffic but this time focused on turn signals and how some inconsiderate bastards never use them...

I started my final revision of my current script tonight (Yeah, I've said that before). My friend KD had some wonderful suggestions for me that I am taking to heart. This is really going to take the story to the level of creepiness that I was going for. I supposed getting that spider bite was a blessing. It made me miss the group meeting. I was supposed to pitch it to Christopher Lockhart. This way, I can make these revisions before it gets pitched to anyone. I re-read half of the script tonight and have an idea of scenes I wanna cut as well as adding in a few elements to make it a lil more creepy. I intend to have this finalized by the end of next week or maybe even sooner. I can't wait to start working on my next project!

I've been so tired today. I think I'm gonna go to bed a bit earlier tonight. I'll listen to a Siouxsie and the Banhees CD "Peepshow" then do a lil more thinking on my script before finally hitting the cushy bed. :)

The cards are ordered!

Today, I got the proofs in e-mail for my personal cards. They looked great so I went ahead and ordered them! Not only that, but I also ordered postcards too haha. Why? *shrug* I just felt like it. 1,000 for 140 bucks and 1,000 personal cards for 60 bucks. I can't wait for them to come in (3-5 days)!

Here is what the front looks like: Very simple, very clean.

And the back:

I spent the night hanging out with David, Lou and Billy. They brought over this ultra yummy bottle of wine and we drank that and ate Tastykakes while I caught them up on the show Weeds which was stored on my Dish DVR unit. I am now sleepy and need to go to my comfy bed, hit the pillow and zonk out.

Time keeps on slipping into the future...

...and I've come to realize that a person can have almost complete control over it. I, for one, intend on doing all I can to steer my life in the direction that I would like it to go.

After work today, I went to see about having personal cards made (business cards but just for me - haha). It was a fun experience! I e-mailed my logo (made originally for me by Catherine and updated with a sleek chrome finish by Lou) ahead of time when I was on the phone with them. The girl there sat me down and we discussed all of the options available to me. It was a great time.

One of the artists came out and said "Wow, that's a cool logo, what do you do?" I replied that the logo has nothing to do with my job at all and that it was umm, my own personal logo. (At this point, I just started laughing out loud because, yes I am quite aware of just how silly this whole thing is. Me, a person, has his own logo and his own personal site is now purchasing business cards to prommote his website that permotes himself!)

But, you know, it is silly but *shrug* I'm having so much fun doing it. That's all that matters. I wished to have a cool site and now I do. I want people to visit it so after I pepper all of Los Angeles (and soon the world, and beyond) with my cards, people will log on and check it out. Will they like it? *shrug* some will, some won't. Some will click with it, while others will log on and just not get my sense of humor or life. Those things don't concern me. What matters is, I am making my wishes (no matter how silly or far fetched) a reality.

This is just the beginning! So let time slip into the future...What an adventure it'll be!

I'm an Uncle again!

Oh my stars, it's raining babies!!

My sister had my niece on September 13, 2005. 7Lbs. 13Oz. and 21 Inches long. She's a real puddin'!

Say Hello to Krystin Nicole!

She's the third kid for my sister. Who knew she'd be such a baby factory?! haha

Beneath Krystin's debut glamor shot is a pic of my Mom holding her! Both are beautiful :)

I can't wait to go back home and see them both! Oh yeah, and my darling sister! :)

It's a Girl!

My friend Barb (who is married to Sergio) just had a baby girl!

Okay, she didn't JUST have her, but due to my drama lately, I haven't really done a proper blog.

I've known Barb for many years...helped her move into her dorm room way back when. Now she's a professional RN, has a very nice (and hot) husband and now a baby girl! Isn't she adorable?

Her name is Sara Isabella. She was born on September 3rd 2005 at 1:51PM. A healthy 7 lbs. 12Oz. and 20 inches long. I wish her a long, happy and healthy life and may all of her dreams come true!
