Taping!

Whew, well last night I taped up the guest bedroom so I can start painting it on Thursday night.

I have decided to fasttrack my project schedule so I can get all this done a bit sooner. By Sunday I want to have the guest bedroom and my bathroom finished.

The OCD has kicked in hardcore and all I can think about is painting. Haha That's the one good thing about OCD, once you get commited to a project, it consumes you until you complete it to the highest degree of satisfaction! (Yes, my darling sister, the remotes are always lined up on the coffee table, just like my shoes in the closet! haha)

Tonight is Bingo! The charity is "Holy Spokes" An AIDS ride group from Walter's church. It should be a great night. It's the beginning of the day and already I am excited to leave and go down WeHo!

I'm also excited to paint...Oh Color!! :)

The ceiling is done!

Thanks in large part to all day assistance from Morticia!

The ceiling looks great. We worked on it for about 12 hours on Saturday!

Whew we were dog tired! When we were done, we moved the furniture back and I helped him with a problem on his laptop and we just zoned for a bit. haha.

Sunday morning came, and I did a few touch ups and cleaned up all the mess.

We went shopping for his new way cool suitcase for our trip to Europe and then met up with Walter for a yummy dinner at Chin-Chin!

We all watched a few more episodes of Sex and The City then Morticia and I watched Sopranos.

I feel like I had a major workout. Not really sore today. I feel like I have a ton of energy and I just want to start taping and painting! :)

My fingers hurt though. I can't crack my knuckles.

I love him to death but sometimes it's a bit odd having a mortician for a best friend...I got some paint on my sofa that wouldn't come off, so Morticia brings over a bottle of hair cleaner...for dead people. "Oh yeah, I use it all the time. Gets out bits of glass from hair, kills maggots. etc." Ew! How gross! I don't even wanna touch the bottle! haha

But it worked! He used it on the sofa and *bing* no more paint! What a great product, if not a bit creepy! :)

Thanks again to Morticia for his helping hands!

Guy to the Rescue!!

I went to Home Depot today and got more paint rollers and stuff for the ceiling.

I began to paint and then suddenly everything that could go wrong did. The pole broke. The roller broke. A piece of my window blinds broke from across the room (?!)

Boy was I pissy, AND Home Depot was closed. I ran into my friend Guy and he came over at 10:30 and in an hour we had the whole dining room section done! He broke a pole he brought over, so I'll get him a new one, but God...with someone helping, it really goes by fast!

It was so nice of him to come over so late. We chatted and got caught up. What a nice visit!

Thanks again Guy!

Bingo and Painting!

Welp, I've been much too busy to blog lately and even this post will have to be quick since I'm at work.

I will update more on the weekend and include pics.

Wednesday we did Bingo which was great fun! Mo Collins was there (Lorraine from MADtv). She is soooo funny and very very nice. It was great to meet and chat with her.

I started painting my ceiling. It is coming along but is taking more time and paint than I thought. Time to analyze the time increase and see what other projects the effect will impact...

Monday, Monday

So, here it is Monday morning already.

Yesterday, Morticia helped me out in a big way with painting the ceiling in my hallway.

It looks good so far, but still needs a second coat. I'll do that this week.

Had a celebrity siting too (for those of you that care). It was Seth Green in Tower records. He was there with some girl. He needed a shave.

I bought one of my favorite movies there called 'The Rapture". Anyways, I am here at work now. I'm a bit sleepy. The weekends just never seem to be long enough!

Decisions, Decisions!

Oh My Stars, I forgot about updating my blog until my dear and fabulous sister reminded me too!

The decisions on colors have been made! I am going to buy some paint today and start with the ceilings!

I am so excited!

What else has been going on. Hmm, went to Homo Depot yesterday and loked at paint and stuff (that's what lead to today's decision). Had dinner with Walter and Morticia (Typical Saturday fashion). Oh My Stars Morticia is here.

Seeyas later!

Dungeons and Dragons Online!

Yay! I got this game on Friday. So far I really like playing it.

Although I am just a casual gamer (about an hour a night), I still love playingit. I just won't level like crazy like everyone else that plays but it's okay. It gives me time to slip into a fantasy world whenever I want too.

The tickets for the trip have been purchased! Woo-hoo!

Soon, I'll be a happy elf hiking in the Black Forest!

A Fishy Farewell

Welp, I did it.

As part of my get rid of 70% of what you own thing, I got rid of my fish tank yesterday.

Algae completely took over when I was down and out from my spider bite, all the fish died, so I figured I'd just get rid of it.

So now it is gone. I miss the sound of running water, but maybe in the future I'll get a fountain or something.

Off to Fry's today to get a wireless networking card for my desktop PC, then move it in the spare room during the week. I'll then get rid of this computer desk.

Morticia
is on his way over now. We'll go to Fry's then plan out trip before other friends come over for the Sunday shows (Sopranos, L Word and Desperate Housewives).

Diggin' Life!

What a great time it is right now!

Life is swell! I am planning my trip to Europe, saving money, re-doing my life, having fun...no work drama, no stupid boyfriend drama just a good time!

Lots of stuff to look forward too this year. It's gonna be a blast! My vacation soon, Pride month (always a blast..WeHo, Long Beach may Palm Springs) Disney Day, A bus trip to Vegas organized by Roger...yup gonna be a fun filled year! These first three months of prep work, then my goal is to just kickback and have fun.

I intend on doing a lot of new, strange and interesting things this year and of course blog about them!

Stay Tuned! :)

Wednesday already?!

Whew! Time flies!

Last weekend flew by like they seem to do these days. Morticia and I went to the bookstore and got some books on our trip. We are narrowing down what cities we want to visit. We do know that we are going to explore Germany (Berlin and Frankfurt so far definite) and we will also travel to Amsterdam and Prague.

Sunday was a fun time! I had an Oscar party which was great fun to get some people together but the Oscars well...they were disappointing. I am glad Brokeback won 3 awards but I was *SO* upset at that stupid rap song for winning over Dolly parton. I mean, c'mon!

Anyways, it was a good time nonetheless.

I haven't been in the mood for Bingo lately. I probably won't go tonight. I'll work on my spreadsheet I am creating so I can sell off my action figures.

I can't wait till it gets a little warmer, so I can lay on the beach on the weekends. I'm looking forward to just relaxing on Manhattan beach (one of my favorites) and just listening to the waves crash against the shore and watch the dolphins jump in and out of the water.

California King

Feeling nostalgically sad this evening...

In this bed
This lonely bed
We once moved Heaven and Earth

Perhaps we moved it a bit too far
For this Grand Canyon now lay between us

Now these days you’re a shout away
For that’s all we ever seem to do

In this bed
This lonely bed
I’m alone now

But it’s okay
It’s a good alone
For I was alone when you were next to me
Trying to pretend the canyon was a ditch
Something that could be patched
But I was wrong,
I fell in
In deep into your drama
And self absorbed world

In this bed
This lonely bed
I made the canyon, which was my heart, my ditch
Something that could be patched
And I was right
So now I lay in my bed
My bed alone
And I’m okay

TransAmerica!

I forgot to mention that I saw this film. It was much better than I thought it would be! Eva whats-her-name (from Desperate Housewives) deserves the best actress award!

I took my car in for brake service today...they've been squeakin' something awful! It should cost a total of about 300 bucks. Can't wait to drive a quiet car again tho! :)

Thanks to Shel for rides to and from work today!

Mr predictions for American Idol vote offs tonight (sorry but forghet their names):
That Chicken Little kid
The Croner guy
The stuck up girl who's always vogueing
(Hmm, dunno who the other girl will be...)

Crabby!

I should be walking sideways, I'm so crabby.

I think it's just my usual cycle. It usually starts this time of year until I go on vacation. This year, the decision has been made to go to Europe. So far we are thinking The Netherlands, Germany and Czech Republic.

It'll be nice to get away.

Having made a lot of decisions about my life so far this year, it'll be nice to take a break and travel abroad again.
