These NEW shoes were made for walkin"...

I can't help myself with a schnazzy pair o' shoes!!

Tonight, I found myself really tired after work and was starting to fall asleep on my sofa and I thought "I'm gonna fall asleep if I stay home instead of working on my script." So I called Walter and we went to see "Proof" at the Sherman Oaks Galleria. It was an okay movie. Performances were great but I didn't like the ending. Talk about anti-climatic! It was like they just ran out of script and stopped the movie! But afterwards we went to look at shoes. I saw this fabulous pair of Cole Haans on sale for only 100 bucks! I had to get them. As you can see in the picture, they are light brown but the top is this green colored mesh. Very cool! And since this fall season is all about earth tones, I'll be up to date fashion wise! You never know when Joan Rivers and her daughter will come a knockin'!

Bites, fires and scripts, Oh My!

Here is an updated picture of my wound. As you can see, it is coming along nicely. The hole has filled in and looks more like a burn now. You can see a thin layer of skin just start to creep its way over it from the edges. My daily care routine is Neosporin with a Band-aid over it. I can't wait until it is all healed. I've been staying away from the gym until its okay. I don't wanna take the chance on it getting infected again.

*sniff sniff* You can smell the fire in the air. When I left work today, all I could smell was the massive fire. All of those trees burning. Little pieces of white ash blew past me too as I made my way to my car. With the fire only 5% contained, there is sure to be a lot more destruction before its over. Mother Earth sure does seem like she's getting fed up with us humans...

I posted a new article in Arggh! today (accessible on my website in the Gallery section). Today's rant was again about traffic but this time focused on turn signals and how some inconsiderate bastards never use them...

I started my final revision of my current script tonight (Yeah, I've said that before). My friend KD had some wonderful suggestions for me that I am taking to heart. This is really going to take the story to the level of creepiness that I was going for. I supposed getting that spider bite was a blessing. It made me miss the group meeting. I was supposed to pitch it to Christopher Lockhart. This way, I can make these revisions before it gets pitched to anyone. I re-read half of the script tonight and have an idea of scenes I wanna cut as well as adding in a few elements to make it a lil more creepy. I intend to have this finalized by the end of next week or maybe even sooner. I can't wait to start working on my next project!

I've been so tired today. I think I'm gonna go to bed a bit earlier tonight. I'll listen to a Siouxsie and the Banhees CD "Peepshow" then do a lil more thinking on my script before finally hitting the cushy bed. :)

The cards are ordered!

Today, I got the proofs in e-mail for my personal cards. They looked great so I went ahead and ordered them! Not only that, but I also ordered postcards too haha. Why? *shrug* I just felt like it. 1,000 for 140 bucks and 1,000 personal cards for 60 bucks. I can't wait for them to come in (3-5 days)!

Here is what the front looks like: Very simple, very clean.

And the back:

I spent the night hanging out with David, Lou and Billy. They brought over this ultra yummy bottle of wine and we drank that and ate Tastykakes while I caught them up on the show Weeds which was stored on my Dish DVR unit. I am now sleepy and need to go to my comfy bed, hit the pillow and zonk out.

Time keeps on slipping into the future...

...and I've come to realize that a person can have almost complete control over it. I, for one, intend on doing all I can to steer my life in the direction that I would like it to go.

After work today, I went to see about having personal cards made (business cards but just for me - haha). It was a fun experience! I e-mailed my logo (made originally for me by Catherine and updated with a sleek chrome finish by Lou) ahead of time when I was on the phone with them. The girl there sat me down and we discussed all of the options available to me. It was a great time.

One of the artists came out and said "Wow, that's a cool logo, what do you do?" I replied that the logo has nothing to do with my job at all and that it was umm, my own personal logo. (At this point, I just started laughing out loud because, yes I am quite aware of just how silly this whole thing is. Me, a person, has his own logo and his own personal site is now purchasing business cards to prommote his website that permotes himself!)

But, you know, it is silly but *shrug* I'm having so much fun doing it. That's all that matters. I wished to have a cool site and now I do. I want people to visit it so after I pepper all of Los Angeles (and soon the world, and beyond) with my cards, people will log on and check it out. Will they like it? *shrug* some will, some won't. Some will click with it, while others will log on and just not get my sense of humor or life. Those things don't concern me. What matters is, I am making my wishes (no matter how silly or far fetched) a reality.

This is just the beginning! So let time slip into the future...What an adventure it'll be!

I'm an Uncle again!

Oh my stars, it's raining babies!!

My sister had my niece on September 13, 2005. 7Lbs. 13Oz. and 21 Inches long. She's a real puddin'!

Say Hello to Krystin Nicole!

She's the third kid for my sister. Who knew she'd be such a baby factory?! haha

Beneath Krystin's debut glamor shot is a pic of my Mom holding her! Both are beautiful :)

I can't wait to go back home and see them both! Oh yeah, and my darling sister! :)

It's a Girl!

My friend Barb (who is married to Sergio) just had a baby girl!

Okay, she didn't JUST have her, but due to my drama lately, I haven't really done a proper blog.

I've known Barb for many years...helped her move into her dorm room way back when. Now she's a professional RN, has a very nice (and hot) husband and now a baby girl! Isn't she adorable?

Her name is Sara Isabella. She was born on September 3rd 2005 at 1:51PM. A healthy 7 lbs. 12Oz. and 20 inches long. I wish her a long, happy and healthy life and may all of her dreams come true!

Uneventful Sunday

Sometimes Sundays are meant for doing nothing. That's what I basically did today.

This morning my television all of a sudden lost its picture. It had sound but poof, no picture. I tried everything I could think of to fix it but nothing worked. I all but resigned myself to buying a new TV (DLP HD). The Angel and Devil wrestled on my shoulders with that decision while I went online and asked for advice in a chat room. There, someone was kind enough to assist me in my entertainment drama. He suggested that instead of just turning my TV off then on again (the cure all fix for Windows seems to be the fix for everything these days) that I unplug the TV from the wall and wait 5 to 10 mins. before plugging it in. Well, it worked! It reset my TV and all was well. I was able to watch Rome and Desperate Housewives!

The rest of the day was filled with a deafening silence. I spent some of my day thinking about my future and some plans I'm going to make (They will be revealed when I post my Q4 goals!...)

Then, being my last day home from work, I watched some TV laying on my the sofa with Dizzy and Doodle. It's 10:23pm right now and I'm thinking on going to bed early.

Sleep well, World. Happy dreams to all!

Happy Birthday to Lou!

Yesterday was Lou's Birthday and we (Senator, Morticia, Walter and myself) took him out to the O-Bar for his Birthday dinner. What a great time!
It was Lou's first time at the O-Bar and he loved it! That place is so fab, and Mmm Mmm everyone is cute! haha
Anyways, the food, service and of course the company was great!

We took some pics during dinner but they didn't come out very well and everyone would yell at me if i posted them haha!

My Own Virgin Mary Grilled Cheese?

Okay, so the past 2 days the air conditioning vent on my hallway ceiling has been leaking droplets of water. I put down a towel to help soak it up, hoping the problem would fix itself without having to bug "Mike The Manager". It hasn't, so it looks like I'll have to bug him soon.

Anyways, last night while on the phone with my friend John Jr., I noticed something very odd: Part of the dampened carpet looked like a shoeprint! Not just any shoe print, but a LEFT shoeprint!

I thought, Could this be the foot print of Jesus? Then I thought, nah, he wore sandels.

What is the significance of it being the left foot? You can clearly see in the picture, the heel of the shoe and the way it bends like the left foot does. I have no shoes that fit this configuration.

Could this be the shoe print of a ghost? Could the fact that it is only the LEFT shoe mean that the ghost is a democrat?

You be the judge! Let me know what you think... :)

Spider bite recovery!

Nasty eh? This pic is after the operation when I returned home...

Let me bring you beautiful people up to speed...

A week and a half ago, I was bitten by a brown recluse spider (or so say most of the doctors and nurses). The bite turned into this huge ugly volcano looking wound that began to eat the flesh on my arm. It also got infected with a Staph infection...

When I went to the doctor's to check it out, they immediately hospitalized me for a few days and operated on my arm. They cut out a nice chunk of it and kept me isolated in hospital for 2 days.

I have been home (everyday...all day...ugh) since then. 9 days now. I have a nurse that comes by everyday and connect me to my iv machine, where I get my antibiotics and to change the bandages on the wound.

It is healing nicely though and I am returning to work next Monday.
