Walter's Birthday and Boopie goes home!

Let's see if I can do all this in brief...

Saturday Morticia , Terry and I went shopping for Walter's birthday presents. Terry got in Rent on DVD and Morticia and I pulled our resources and got him a docking station for his iPOD that he can take anywhere. It's so rad.

We all then took Walter to dinner at his favorite restaurant Geoffrey's in Malibu. Yummy food and the view is spactacular! What a fun time. I love getting all dressed up and going out! :)

We sat next to some rapper. I dunno who he is, but the next day Morticia was looking at a Target ad and saw him in it. His name is Ne-Yo or something stupid like that. He seemed nice though. He was there is with lady.

Sunday, we went to CityWalk and hung out there for the afternoon. Got some massages and sat at the opxygen bar in the Zen Zone.

We met up with Walter later and we all went out to Zach's for dinner. (We all love that place). At dinner I was constantly teased by the waiter but it was a fun time.

Last night my Bingo friend Gil e-mailed a picture of me, Morticia and our friend Richard. The picture is going to be in the next issue of In Magazine. I'll post the picture later How exciting! Thanks Gil for putting us in there! :)

Terry leaves today. :( but he'll be back soon.

I also paid off 5,200K worth of bills on the weekend. Leaving me with just a tiny bit on one credit card that will be paid off next month. Ah the joys of being debt free!

My Niece is sick

I hesitated on posting this because it is more of my Neice's business, but s short time ago she was diagnosed with cancer. It is in her chest, neck and lymph nodes. It's very sad especially since she is set to graduate high school this year.

The good news is that it is not in her bone marrow and that they finally diagnosed it as being Hodgkin's (which is 99% curable they say).

At first the gave her a 50/50 chance but now they are very confident about her recovery. They say she may even be able to attend college in the fall.

Still though, it's very sad and a child should never have to go through anything like that.

So, please send her good vibes.

I Touched The Sparklett's Truck!

Haha!

When I was leaving work, parked next to the curb was my Sparklett's truck! Shiny blue sequins and all!

Feeling completely silly, and looking to make sure the driver wasn't around, I reached out and waved my hand through the shiny blue sequinny goodness!

haha.

Not only did I get to see it up close, but I got to touch it! haha

See, I told you, I am very easy to please.

In other news...

Terry comes tonight for a week long visit! It'll be great to see him again as always and I'm looking forward to having some fun! Especially after a week's worth of cleaning and revamping.

Hmm, I'm hungry. I should go to my Fav. Philly Cheese steak place for lunch.

Pluto is a Butterfly

Welp, what a busy last week and weekend I've had.

Friday night I kept on ripping my CDs into MP3s while I enjoyed a good down pour outside. About midnight I started to load up the car to take to Goodwill the next day. I got some old stereo equipment in and then decided I was too tired to do any more.

Saturday, Morticia helped me take all my stuff over to Goodwill and Out of the Closet.

Afterwards, we when and got some Italian food at Buca De Beppo.

Saturday night, we enjoyed a concert at Avalon. It was a British group Marticia has been into for years. I have never heard of them so I was curious to see what they were like. MAN were they good! The group was called Saint Entienne.

I Highly recommend buying their stuff! At the very least, buy their song "Oh My!" off their latest CD. It's only 99 cents a song at Musicmatch.com, so stop being a cheap bastard wondering what they sound like and download something!

I slept in on Sunday and did some more CD ripping and then went furniture shopping with Morticia in the afternoon. It was great to get some ideas! Since I plan on buying everything (Living room, dining room bedroom etc.), there was a lot to look at! I found my bedroom set at least...the bedroom set costs about 6K but it is sooo nice.

After shopping, Walter came over and we all went to Zach's for dinner. (Yes, we were in the mood for Italian all weekend hehe.)

Monday was a somewhat lazy day. I only left my place to go food shopping for Dizzy and Doodle and then spent 5 more hours ripping MORE CDS. ugh ugh ugh!!! The good news is that I am all done! Yay! All of my CDs are now boxed up in the closet where they will stay for a bit and then I'll sell them on.

All total, my CD collection turned out to be 15.5 GB of pure MP3 joy! It's great to have all of my music in one place and when I get the cool new iPOD due out in the summer (or so), I'll have my whole collection with me where ever I go!

Now, before you say "But Eric, what if your hard drive crashes?" I am going to copy the folder onto a second hard drive as well as burn the MP3 collection on to 4 DVDs and place them in a fireproof saftey deposit box at the bank (along with pictures on DVD). I'll have onsite and offsite redundancy! :)

Ramping up on the revamp...

Welp, last night (While doing laundry and ripping more CDs) I cleaned out my bedroom closet. It was the last place that needed to be cleaned out! I threw away 4 trashbags full o' crap and gathered some more stuff for Goodwill.

My closet is now clean and organized. Now, I can honestly say, I know where EVERYTHING is in my life. What drawer, closet, cabinet...what a great feeling!

I made very excellent progress on my CDs too. I tried my DVD burner drive instead of the regular CDROM drive, and for some reason it's quicker, even though the CD ROM drive is a faster drive. *shrug*. I made it through the "M's" and all the way into the "D's".

When I go home tonight, it'll be some more laundry and I'll try to finish off the rack.

Next on the agenda is to get a wireless networking card for my desktop and move all my PC stuff into the spare room and then get rid of my computer desk in my room and that old big screen TV in my bedroom. That will free up *SO* much space and be less to move if I get new carpet, more room for a full bedroom set or less to move. Whatever this big change has in store for me. :)

I know, my life hasn't been that exciting recently, but sometimes you need to take some time to get your life in order. All this is stuff I've been wanting to do for a while now.

It's amazing...I threw about about 34 tashbags full of stuff from this ultra cleaning. It's hard to believe I had that much crap I really didn't care about. I was trying to imagine if someone came by and dumped 34 trashbags full to capacity in my livingroom and said "Here, but all this somewhere." I would swear that I didn't have room for it.

Haha I know I am way to excited about all this... :)

Burn Baby Burn!

Welp, another glorious night of CD to MP3 conversion!

It started when I got home from the dentist (had my new cap put in today...I'll do my best not to poop this one out) and it just ended. Six and a half hours of swapping CDs. I made it from Z to M (Don't ask me why I'm going backwards. Maybe it's because I came out that way. [Oh ding ding There's some Eric trivia, yes I was a breach birth! My Mom tripped on the root of an apple tree and was forced into labor. Yes, I was determined to be a Leo!]

In-between swapping CDs, I managed to tackle my bookcase in my bedroom too! I filled one bag of trash from it and cleared out about one and a half shelves!

I also watched American Idol. I'm so glad those chubby black gay acting twins got kicked off. They were so annoying!

Anyways, I just lit my mint chocolate scented candle and I'm gonna relax and meditate a bit before bed.

Cleeeaning, nothing more than cleeeaning...

I haven't updated my blog in a bit because I haven't had anything too exciting happening.

I've been overhauling my apartment for the most part. I've gotten every room cleaned out but my bedroom (I just started on that).

So far, I have one carload to take to Goodwill and I threw away approx. 30 bags of trash.

Keeping in compliance with my "Get rid of 70% of everything you own" goal, I have just purchased a program called "Musicmatch Jukebox".

I'm gonna use this program to turn all of my CDs into MP3s. I'll sell my CDs when that job is complete and it'll free up more room and I'll prolly listen to them more often too.

So, out with the old CD format. It's all digital from here baby!

I'm also gonna use the program to convert my old vinyl records (what's that?!) and a few cassette tapes I have. Store everything on 2 hard drives (redundancy in case of failure!).

I've also gotten rid of various stereo components and all of my VHS tapes but a few (old vacation to South Dakota, Cheap0 Vd0z etc. I will get a DVD burner and burn those, then throw away my VCR).

No, CDs, no VCR. Just digital!

Hmmm, I wonder if Goodwill will take gay porn...

Predictions!

Okay, so I was tired of being haunted by this "change" I feel coming up. What change? I dunno, I just have felt like I'm coming up to a big change in my life...

So, I broke out my Tarot cards that I haven't used in a while and gave myself a reading.

Here it is (brought to you by Dizzy) As always click the picture to enlarge!:

Isn't it amazing?! I asked about my life and what it will be like in the coming months.

It started out describing some recent events at work that were kind of crappy. (Won't go into work details). But they are the upper most left cards. Right on the money!

Next describes a sweet guy around my age and it seems like we'll have a relationship. A pretty darn good one at that!

Enter, the bitch. She says or does something to me. Or you know, maybe not to *me* but to a situation that starts a chain of events...I suppose it has an effect because right after that is a mega-mega change. The one I've had this feeling about right here (points to belly).

Wow, look at the cards after the change! Of course there is an older man that tries to dabble and screw it up but help comes from an older woman that just blows him away. The mysterious thing about it is, who are the 2 guys at the end of the reading? The have a smaller influence in the reading than the other people but they are there, with no cards to describe them!

Very very interesting! I never used to do readings on myself because it is very hard to read the cards when it's all about you. But this reading started out 100% true with the work drama, and the change that I have been feeling is in there, so let's go with it!

Whatever is about to happen, it's gonna be big!

Drapes, Cleaning and a change in the wind

Wow, I haven't posted here in a bit. Gotta stop slacking on it!

This weekend, we went to (what is quickly becoming our Saturday hangout) The Cantina. We had some drink and a few laughs).

Sunday, Morticia and I went to Walter's house and helped him hang up his drapes. His living room looks so nice! Man, I wanna redo my place now haha

I've been cleaning and cleaning my place. Cleaned out the rest of the closets in the hallway and my bathoom. Overall it was like 9 bags of stuff I threw away! I still have the kitchen, living room closet, spare bedroom and my room to do!

Sorry that the blog has been rushed lately. I suck, I know. I will dedicate more time into it and get back into posting pictures like I used too!

Litterboxes and Public restrooms....the connection!

I NOW understand why my cats look at me with that weird cat look when they are in the litterbox peein' or takin' a poop and I look at them and say "Hi"...

I was in the bathroom just a few moments ago in work standing at the urinal and someone came out of the stall, walked slowly behind me and said "Hi"

I felt like Dizzy or Doodle in their litterbox just thinking "Don't watch me when I'm peeing!"

Needless to say, from now on I'll look away until they step out of the litterbox...

Work mates at Bingo! OhBoy!

Wednesday's Bingo night was such a blast! I took my co-workers and their wives, husbands and everyone had a great time! I even won a game (however the prize was crappy)!

I am so glad it's Friday and just wanted to write a quick update. I've been just cleaning and doing boring stuff this week, so not much to write about :)

More later, I gotta get back to work!

No one posted their most embarrassing moment either... grrr! :)
