2006 A Year in Review

The night before New Year's Eve and I just got done reading my past blog entries from the year. What a very busy productive year it was!

I achieved most of my goals this year. Most of which were redoing my place, taking a trip to Europe and ofcourse, being Fabulous!

What I didn't accomplish was my weight of 155 pounds, but I am currently in the middle of an INTENSE workout regime, details and pics to follow :)

What is that on the Whiteboard? David's wedding? Well that's wat a fortune cookie from Chin-Chin said...In a year he'll get married....

Tomorrow will be a busy day as I get my place ready for my New Year's Eve Party!

Here is a pic of my new fridge stocked full o' party goodness! :)

Happy New Year! My next post will be in 2007! What a Fabulous year it will be!
What do I want to accomplish? Well, I revamped my job, my social life and my place now it is time for my body. I'll totally revamp it by June and then post some naked pics haha, I'm serious!

The 12 days of Christmas and my darling sister...

I have a funny memory that is classic from my childhood. (Although at the time, it wasn't funny at all)...

It was Christmas time and I had a 45 record off the 12 days of Christmas. I used to play that song over and over and over..I LOVED it.

My bestest sister didn't...

One night when I was playing it and singing along my sister, ever so calmy, walked down the stairs, took the needle off of my record, picked it up and then snapped the record in half. Affter that, and without a word, she walked back upstairs.

What a bitch.

What have I been up to?!

I know it has been a while since I have posted, but the holidays will make you busy!

Work has been busy too but going very good!

I am now beginning my fourth week of my hardcore gym life! I take a little notebook with me and write down everything that I do. I average 1.5 hours a day at the gym, 1 hour of cardio (1/2 hour on the elipptical, level 12 crossramp 13) then I use the weight machine (rotate each day between front and back muscles) then I end it with a 1/2 hour of treadmill (level 2.0, speed 3.7)

In the book, I write down (besides the cardio) the weight machines I do, how many sets and the weight and it I found it Easy, Medium or Hard. This way I can keep track of my progress, when the machine weight starts to fall between Medium/Easy, I bump the weight up. Fabulous!

In the inside cover, I made a quick "Commitment Dashboard" Which is a quick little spreadsheet with those dot stickers. I have squares for each week (Red, Yellow and Green.
Green = I have been to the gym 6-7 days that week, Yellow 4-5 DFays and Red 1-3 Days).

Now, some people would say "3 days a week is good!" and it will be when I just want to maintain, but right now I am in killer mode! I'm done fucking around! haha

I anticipate the next 2 weeks, getting yellow stickers due to the holidays etc. so, I will have to be happy with 2 weeks of going 5 days.

I love it when OCD kicks in in a good way!

On to other things...

I have all of my Christmas shopping officially done exept for Dizzy and Doodle. I will get their presents on Saturday.

My place is almost all clean now. Just have to wash the sheet and clean the spare room because Terry comes out tomorrow night until Jan. 4th! Yay!

My place is all decorated and looks fabulous, and almost all of my food has been bought for Christmas dinner.

Oh, I got a way cool new fridge too. It's nice to have an icemaker now!

I am having a New Year's Eve party too. That will be fun!

Oh and Eric McCormick from Will and Grace (He is Will) is going to be at Bingo on Wednesday!

What a fun life! :)

We're so pretty...oh so pretty....

Sometimes living in this plastic city of Los Angeles gets to me. I couldn't stop laughing n my car on the way to work thhis morning. I had the radio on (something I never do but KOST 103.5 is playing only Christmas music from now until Christmas) and a commercial came on for plastic surgery.

Are these commercials common in all cities or is it justL.A.?

The Ad went something like this:

Treat yourself to a new look this holiday season. New breats 2K, a tummy tuck 3K. Take 25% off of any surgery that is on your Christmas wishlist!"

Who has surgery on their Christmas wishlist?! This town is so worried about their outside that they spend all their time and money on it, meanwhile their insides are rotting to the core...

A Fabulous Thanksgiving, A Short Bus and a Garland Defeat?!

Thanksgiving was very nice. Walter had us over for dinner. Yummy! Typical Thanksgiving, we ate and then got tired and sat around feeling fat. haha

The next morning I woke up, put on my Rudolf CD my fabulous sister bought me last year, and started decorating for Christmas! For 3 hours I was a lil Christmas fairy.

The rest of the weekend was spent looking around for prelit Garland. Sigh, I can't find it anywhere. It even took me a long time to find it online, and even then, I could only find one place that sells it. I'm not even sure it exactly what I want as the picture on the website was a bit small. But I think I will take a chance and order it anyway.

Saturday night I had a movie night where I showed "Another Gay Movie". It's a stupid American Pie type movie. Very dumb but very very funny!

Sunday, Me and Morty went and saw "Short Bus". What a cool movie! I liked it alot. It's not for the typical american audience though, as the sex scenees were very hardcore (like watching porn) and Americans tend to be too prissy about anything sexual. But I liked it alot and will buy it on DVD when it comes out.

So, overall, the weekend was very nice but of course too short. Oh, and it is actually drizzling here this morning! Ah, the rain....winter is here! haha

You got me singin' the blues....

So, I've been a bit depressed lately on te dating scene. Having dated a few people but nothing of real quality, I'm coming to the realization that maybe its my destiny to just remain single.

I never thought my standards were unusually high. Just be a nice, honest, caring, sincere, unselfish, non control freak, monogamous, non alcoholic or drug addict. Of course there has to be attraction too.

But apparently, just these few things I look for make my search very hard. I even tried to import out of L.A. thinking it was an L.A. thing, but what I found was even more rediculous.

Ah well, it'll pass but lately its just been ugh...

But Happiness is just around the corner in the form of holidays! Tomorrow is Thanksgiving! I'll be having dinner with some friends, Walter is hosting aa yummy meal! And then it's time to decorate for Christmas! O0o0oo, I love Christmas.

Oppsie, meeting time...

Save the cheerleader, save the world!

Welp, they saved the cheerleader, but will they save the world?

Man, Heroes is THE best show on TV right now....LOVE it.

Bond, James Bond

Bond is back! Thank the baby jesus!

This Bond film has got to be one the best of all time! It takes a few Bond movies for me to start measuring him up as to where he stands compared to the others, but the movie was fantastic!

No fancy gadgets and elaborate chases thrown in for special effects golore, just a man and his gun!

Bond was rough around the edges, but he's supposed to be, afterall the story is set to when he first became a 00.

I highly recommend this film!

Saturday evening, I hunted aroound for new prelit garland for the walls in my living room. I bought 81 feet (9 stands at 9 feet each) of this beautiful green garland with pinecones and berries in it, lit with clear lights. Damn things cost a total of 300 bucks and you know what? I have to take them back. Get this, they only come with a plug on one end! You can't link them together!! How dumb is that? I mean, that's the point of garland. Sigh. Even the simplist of tasks can be a painin the buttocks....

Sunday, I went to a birthday party for my friend's Steve and Matt. It was a nice time and was good to see them again.

Right now, I am just so tired....is it nap time yet?

My Mom!

My sister sent me a care package today of some cookies and stuff from back home and included was a cd full of OLD pictures and slides that we are going to work on for a presentation at my Mom's 75th surprise birthday party in Feb.

Here is a pic of her taken a long time ago, I's say between 45-50 years ago.

Isn't she hot?! Look at those legs! haha

My Mom, she's very beautiful and I love her so much. :)

Tonight was the first time I've ever seen pictures of my mother when she was younger. I actually had some tears. What a great night!

Mixer at Chocolat

Last night I went to a social mixer at "Chocolat" A cool restaurant/bar on Melrose. Their chocolate martinies taste like chocolate milk! Mmmmm "They're like buttah!"

I went with my new found friend, Eric. We had a good time and met some really nice people.

Tonight, I am just going to stay in and go through a big stack of mail that I've been collecting.

Tomorrow, after thhe gym, I'll swing in the movie theater (Handy thatthey are both in the Galleria) and see the new Bond film. I have high expectations for it.

I dunno what to do on Saturday, something fun and fabulous and then Sunday I have my friend Steve's birthday party to go too.

Should be a fun filled weekend!

Fun Weekend!

It started Friday night after work when Sheldon and I went to a taping of Bill Maher! We couldn't think of a better way to celebrate getting Congress back! Man, It was like a Bette Midler concert there! So many gay people...

Afterwards, we went to the Santa Monica Pier, wqalked around a bit and watched the ocean. We had some drinks and dessert. It was a lot of fun! Got home around 1am.

Saturday, I spent the afternoon cleaning and doing laundry...getting the place ready for my guests. My friends Tess and her Fiance Matt came up and stayed over Saturday night. Morty joined us for dinner and discovered he loved an Indian dish (Yay!).

Afterwards we did some Tarot readings! I miss our Tarot nights!

We stayed up reading and gabbing until around 2am.

Sunday was a day of rest. Morty came over and we grabbed some stuff off of his old PC and transferred it to CD, we got some dinner and just hung out. I was tired! haha

This week presents itself with a few different options of fun.

Wednesday is Bingo or a Mixer in Hollywood. Dunno which one I am going to go to yet, maybe the mixer.

The artsy bug has bitten me again and I am getting back into my poetry and my artwork. I'm excited about that! I would like to find some local open mic poetry places here in L.A. (I'm sure theres a bunch in Hollywood etc.)

That's it for now...Tschuss!

A Glorious day!

Democrats have the House and most likely the Senate!

Oh, what a great day it is for America and the World. No longer can emperor bush do what ever he wants.

Checks and balances! Ahhh, nice to have 'em.

Time for a more sane and responsible America.

Now, we just have to wait for the democrats to officially take the Senate and then hopefully we can start talking about impeaching bush. Man, what a great day that would be.

Election Day - Get out and VOTE!

Help but an end to the insane decisions our president is making!
Help take back your government!
Restore our checks and balances system!
Help make our country great again!

VOTE.

Your voice does count!

...having said that, I voted first thing this morning. Ya know, I know it's cheesy but I'll be wearing my little "I voted" sticker all day. I just love the fact that I have a voice and that I can help change things.

If you are reading this and have never voted, there has never been a better time (well, the last 2 presidential elections would have been good times too...) its very easy and takes very little of your time.

If you don't vote, then you haven't earned the right to common on how things are going, so drag your butt out to your nearest polling station and vote! Don't know where it is? Look it up on the net (hell, you are already in from of your computer) or call your local police station or something.

Democrat all the way, baby!

Halloween Pics!

Ah, Halloween! My second favorite holiday and this year it did not disappoint!
This year I went down to the WEHO carnivale with Morty (He and I were dressed as scarecrows with pumpkin heads..I was the evil one and he was the happy one), Sheldon (dressed as the dead croc hunter), Elisabeth (a rocker chick) and Eric (as Linda Richman from SNL's Coffee Talk.

Here are some pics from our evening: (As always, click the pics to enlarge)

A group photo:

Here is a blurry pic of David and I. I posted this because, even thoug it is blurry, it shows how are pumpkin heads were glowing. This is how we looked to the naked eye but in pictures where a flash was used, the green glow went away...

Here is Eric as Linda Richman, he had her DOWN! "I love you Linda!" "Thanks you dawl, I love you too!"
Oofcourse, it wouldn't be a trip or WEHO or the holiday of Halloween without some drinking! And we all got buzzed!

Ofcourse drinking leads to some drag queen boob grabbing:

Kissing Linda makes her all Verklempt!

After kissing Elisabeth, she called me a tramp! I've tried a few times to upload this pic, even resize it and it just won't upload....She must be using some French magic!

Then it was time for some dancing on Santa Monica Blvd.!

Dirty Dancing is a must! It's fun to dirty dance with Elisabeth!

A rare pic of Sheldon...Here you can see his Dead Croc Hunter costume...he was met with mixed reviews haha!

Overall, it was such a fun night!!!! There were a lot of pictures taken and it was hard to choose a few, but here they are. I hope you all enjoy 'em! A great time was had by all!

Halloween Carnivale!!!!

In just 2 more days, It'll be Halloween and I will be down in WEHO (West Hollywood) for the huge Halloween Carnivale!!!!

This year, I am dressing up as a classic Scarecrow with a huge Evil Pumpkinhead! I even have glowsticks insisde the head so it'll glow! Morty is joining me as a fellow Pumpkinhead scraecrow...only his scarecrow is wearing an old patched suit..he dressed for the occasion. Sheldon is going with his camera in hand and may dress as the dead crocodile hunter.

This carnivale is so huge and so much fun! I so look forward to it every year!!!!

Of course I will be posting pictures after the event!

First stop is the Abbey to down some drinks and get a nice buzz going! Then its mingling with 500,000 people. Some dancing, food...Fabulous!!

The Scissor Sisters!

A year ago in the plane while coming home from Australia, I saw this long interview with these guys...who are all gay but the girl... the singer, well he's totally hot...so I've been hearing this song on Sirius satelitte radio for weeks now and totally loved it (I' Don't Feel Like Dancing) so I hooked up my ipod last night and downloaded everything they've done and available :)

Click on the link for the video...I think they are the most original group to come out in a long time. Music has been so dull lately. These guys are Alernative Rock but walk on a disco edge with a Bee-Gee influence. Check it out and post what ya think!

Bestest Sister to the rescue!!!!

Thank you very much, my darling sister, for your advice on my new trees/plants! They look more perky and I think they are going to be okay!

For everyone else, here is the brief story: I bought 3 indoor trees for my place (pictures of my place will come soon as soon as I finish adding some more touches...) and they started to look all sad after a few days and their leaves started to fall off.

Describing the symptoms to my fabulous sister, she told me I was watering them too much and that their roots were going to rot. I promptly followed her advice and took then out of the ceramic pots and dumped the excess water. I left them outside for a few days to dry them out and then brought them back inside. *poof* they are happy now :)

Thank you Patty-Boomalatty!

DDial, a blast from the past!

So I was cleaning out my closet when I was redoing my place and found an old disckette. I threw it on my computer desk to check it out later.

Finally, I took a peak and *Woooosh!* was instantly transported back in time circa 1992!

I was my old user log from when I was Co-SysOp on the Ddial "The Active Imagination".

What a blast it was reading through all of the accounts and names.

All the old get togethers in Pennypack Park, Franklin Mills Mall and downtown Philly.

Sigh.

What a richly diverse group of people! from just hanging out, to late night diner hopping. Man, there were some great times there.

So long ago...although I wouldn't entertain some people or situations now, that time period in my life is fondly remembered as a blast.

Through all of the people I met during "the ddial years" all have come and gone except for one. My Barby. Although we are 3 thousand miles from each other and our lives have gone different directions, its a nice feeling to know she is there and always will be.

So cheers *raises glass* here's to Helen's bonefires, smoking pot in the park (her kids almost catching her haha), water gun fights, hanging with Dani and that creepy Wiccan guy with the nuns at Denny's, the weird fun times at John's house with Dave and Chuck (RIP), New Hope with Catherine, Barb's basement, Honey's pan cokies, the river spot and Mark.

Life...what a cool thing.

Catchin' up!

Last weeks mixer went well. It was a lot of fun and I met some nice people!

On Saturday, Walter, Morty and me went mad at Macys and did a lot of cool shopping. I got some really nice clothes (gotta have nice clothes!) and then it was on to Bloomingdale's for a nice runner for my dining room table with matching placemats and napkins! Everything Mrs. Bucket needs for a candlelight supper! :)

I also found a really cool painting online that I ordered to put on my living room wall above the couch. It's full of greens, browns and golden yellows...perfect for the room! It's of a man sleeping with a aiiry floating above him. I totally love it! I can't wait until it gets here. Actually, let me attach a pic of it...

Time to buy the cow...

In a city where getting the milk for free is as easy as walking and chewing gum at the same time, I couldn't help but wonder...Should I buy the cow before the milk spoils?

haha. okay that was my Sex and the City take on it...

What I mean is, I think after being single for sometime, that I am ready to finally start dating.

This time I will be more careful, as the guys in the past were so not a match.

I am almost in the middle of my 6 Weeks to Fabulous Plan and I feel great and am looking better hehe.

Tonight, I have a fabulous Mixer to go to at "Chocolat" It'll be fun. I am going with Walter and my new friend RJ and perhaps another new friend of ours. It'll be a night of good food, good drinks and hopefully good people. Hey, Paris Hilton isn't the only Socialite in this town!!

So, hopefully tonight, I'll find my cow. :)

Six Weeks To Fabulous Plan

Today is day two of my "Six Weeks to Fabulous" plan!

It is my objective to fit into my old "Hot Pants" I used to wear 10 years ago :)

That's right, by Halloween I will do it!

Tonight at the gym, I had a nice chat with an older Turkish lady on the tredmill next to me. After helping her on the tredmill, we engaged in a reallly cool chat the whole time I was exercising. She even lived in Germany so we had a lot to talk about.

I love talking to strangers! It's so sad that we are raised on the thought not too.

Pick a stranger this week and talk to them, it's a really cool thing and I thing we as Americans need to do more of it.

Monday, September 18, 2006

Oh grow up, muslims...

What a bunch of babies these guys are. So the Pope (the idiot that he is) said that holy wars are bad (umm well isn't all war?!) and said Mohammad was evil (well, I don;t know about him but a lot of his followers sure seem to be) You would think the muslims of the world would just say "Oh, what a silly Pope" like the rest of us. No, instead they kill a nun and stage violent protests around the globe yet again.

Some Danish guy draws a silly cartoon and they all go wacky...

Where is the peaceful religion they claim?

Granted, I'm not one for any organized religion...christian, muslim or whatever...they all seem silly and violent and bigoted in their own right. But c'mon...just because the Pope spoke his mind...
Ya know, I could poop on a picture of Jesus if I wanted to and no one would say anything, yet if I did that to a picxture of Mohammad, Some wacky muslim would cut my head off.

Grow up people.

Here is a quote from CNN's page:

"The group said Muslims would be victorious and addressed the pope as "the worshipper of the cross" saying "you and the West are doomed as you can see from the defeat in Iraq, Afghanistan, Chechnya and elsewhere. ... We will break up the cross, spill the liquor and impose head tax, then the only thing acceptable is a conversion (to Islam) or (killed by) the sword."

Islam forbids drinking alcohol and requires non-Muslims to pay a head tax to safeguard their lives if conquered by Muslims. They are exempt if they convert to Islam."

A head tax?! C'mon. Apparently your sins can be forgiven if you pay up some cash.

That's about as western as you can get!

What a crock of shit.
Go to school, gain some intelligence and think for yourself. Then go protest something...

Six Feet Under Bingo!

Wednesday's bingo was a blast!

I got to hang with Justina Machado! She played Vanessa (Frederico's wife) on Six Feet Under!

She was sooo sweet and so beautiful!

Here is a pic of me, her and my friend Steve:
Tuesday night, I went to a mixer in Pasadena with Terry And Morty. It was fun and interesting and we got to meet some new folks. There is another one in 2 weeks in Hollywood that I am going to go to.

Bye bye Steve Irwin

Sigh...I liked him. :( He will be missed around the world.

Labor Day Weekend...

It was a great weekend overall. Had dinner with my friends at The Inn Of The Seventh Ray (YUM!), had a BBQ, spent time in the pool, played Minigolf, went down to WeHo a few times (Lunch at the Abbey, breakfast at the French Market), shopping, movies. It was packed full o' fun!

The end of Summer....I'm kind of glad about it. It was been really really hot (currently over 105 each day in the valley) and I am looking forward to the cooler weather!

Bingo winner!

Yes! Twice in one night!! :)

What another fun filled Bingo night it was! I played with Terry, Walter and Sheldon (as well as seeing other Bingo friends there) and had a blast!

I won a Starbucks gift pack full of mugs and coffee and then...

I won the Grand Prize!!! YAY!

It was a complete huge gift basket to the Pleasure Chest! Handcuffs, edible body paint etc....so much stuff to stock my new goody drawer! And 100 gift certificate to The Pleasure Chest! :)

Shopping!

Here is a pic of Me, Belle Aire and the guest ball caller who play Mean Nellie-Olson on Little House on the Prairie (as always click picture to enlarge):

And here is a pick of me in front of Hamburger Marys on my Blackberry asking my friend Elisabeth if she wants the Dildo that was in the basket :)

New Tile!

This weekend, with Morty's help, new tile was put in my entry way!

Take a look:

Saturday, I went to dinner with Morty and Walter. Mmm and on Sunday I went down to the Cantina for lunch. It was a lot of fun! Met some cool people and stayed there for about 3 hours. Mmmm Mojitos!

Afterwards, I just went in the pool and relaxed.

Tonight I have to do laundry and clean my place, for Terry comes tomorrow to visit for a few weeks!

Thursday, August 24, 2006

Finally got my hutch and I uploaded pictures as promised!

Last night I *FINALLY* got my hutch from that crappy K and L Home Furnishings store.

Anyways, I love it. Here is a blurry pic I took on my way out to work this morning. I'll take a better one later...

As always, click to enlarge pic!

Here is another pic of Me, Tess and her fiance, Matt on the Queen Mary on the Fourth of July...

And one more pic of Doodle and Dizzy just being cute ofn the sofa...

Oh, and one more of my friends at San Diego Pride...

I promise to get better at posting pictures in my blog entries as it makes them much more interesting! :)

Happy Birthday To Me!

Welp, I had a very good birthday on Wednesday! I took the day off and relaxed during the day. I was getting calls all day and e-mails from people wishing me a Happy Birthday. I felt really loved. :)

Later, I hung out with 20 or so friends at a special birthday bingo! We had a whole section of Hamburger Marys reserved! It was *SO* much fun, although I got so drunk I can only remember about 70% of the night. haha

It was great hanging out with most of my friends all at once. I even got some cool presents too! Unexpected but always welcome! :)

I forgot my camera but Gil was there and got a picture of me getting my birthday spankings from Belle-Aire, so I'll have to post it when I get a copy. :)

And so begins my 36th year in this life time...I wonder what's in store for me this year...so many things can happen to you in a year...what trips will I take? Will I be single? Will I find a way cool boyfriend? Will I find another deadbeat boyfriend? How many new friends will I make?

Exciting stuff!

Life is nice!

My 35th year in this life...

What a great year it has been!

Although it started off a bit rocky with my spider bite drama (See the beginnings of this blog for pictures..eww), it quickly turned around with:

  • A huge promotion in work, moving out of the IT department and into Project Management for my company's products. I love my new job and co-workers. Work has never been better!
  • I finished a major script I was working on, "Tarot".
  • I went to Europe (Germany (Munich, Frankfurt, Berlin), Prague, Amsterdam.
  • Gave my place a complete revamp!
  • Rekindled old friendships, lost touch with others and made new ones.

Yes, my 35th year on Earth was a good one. I am excited to see what my 36th year will bring! It starts off tomorrow with a group of 20 or so friends down for a special Birthday Drag Queen Bingo! It'll be a lot of fun!

And so with just a few quiet hours left, I leave year 35 behind with fond memories and look forward to the sunrise of a new year!

Wishlist!

Okay, so I have created a wishlist on Amazon. (Enter Eric Weisser in the wishlist search box. I'm the one in Sherman Oaks, CA.) It's not done yet, most of the stuff on there is just a bunch of rediculously priced items but hey, that's why its a WISHlist and not PRACTICALlist!

I'll update it later with more reasonable stuff! :)

Great time Saturday

Saturday, Morty, Walter, our new friend Mike and myself went on a 3 hour cruise on a Yacht in Long Beah Harbor! It was a lot of fun! They served drinks and food and we got to mingle and talk to some really nice people. It was so awesome watching the sunset from the harbor! What a great time! I'll have to post some pics once I get them from Morty.

Sunday we all met up and went to Zach's for dinner. Mike works there so we got to talk to him and after dinner he brought me out a brownie dessert for my Birthday! That was sooo nice of him!

He's a great guy and I'm glad that we have become friends with him.

It was a nice relaxing weekend. It was a good way to end my 35th year on Earth...in this life anyways!

A quick weekend, a new friend and door knobs...

Boy, the weekends go by fast! Before you know it, they are gone and it's back to work!

This weekend was another productive one. I finished my bathroom! Yay! However, it wasn't without its drama...I swear, that bathroom is a gateway to Hell. But it is done so that's that! It looks good too.

I bought rugs and towels etc. at Bed, Bath and Beyond to finish it off.

Sunday I hung out with my new friend Eric. It's very bizarre as we like to do all the same things and stuff, very cool! We walked down Ventura Boulevard and had lunch at Senor Fred and hung out.

Afterwards, I got door knobs for all my doors and the cabinets in the hallway and behind the bar.

I installed them all. It was very easy and fast...that's one thing done, that I didn't really plan on doing but the doors look a lot better!

Whew, I am so excited! This is my last week of "major" work and then I am done! Making my "Before my Birthday deadline"!

This week, I am just cleaning off the balcony. I threw all my old blinds out there and all my paint cans, so I will throw out some trash and then as I take the paint down into storage, I will do some minor very quick touch ups. At the end of the week, the balcony will be clean and usable. On Sunday, I will get new plants to hang out there and a fabulous indoor/outdoor carpet. I'm thinking on putting a fountain out there too. We'll see how I can do that one...if it's possible.

Today, I get my hutch for my China closet (for the third time). I hope this one is flawless. I am getting tired of returning them!

Soon, I can just go out and have fun on the weekends again hehe :)

A Busy Evening

Boy, this diet has made me irritable lately. *shrug* It'll pass :) Especially since I am losing 1 vanity pound a day :) You'll be able to see my ribs in no time!! :)

After work, I went to 3 Day Blinds to order the blinds for my big window in the dining room. Oh My Stars are they expensive! But they should be worth it. They are "Sheer Magic" Blinds (Blinds that have this cool sheer between the panels...very nice).

I also called the furniture place to bitch (since I was in a bitching mood) but they were nice and said they would come out Monday with a 3rd New Hutch. I told her to make sure it's perfect or I would return it yet again and not be happy. She was asian and just kept giggling. *shrug* I couldn't win that one I suppose...

I also taped up my bathroom to touch up the white trim. After taping, I touched it up! haha

After that, I put together the hmm what is it called...Hmmm, I don't know but its this tall white thing that has legs and kind of goes around the toilet and stands against the wall with shelves. Anyways, That is put together, I just have to mount it to the wall (Earthquake Proofing don'tcha know!)

So that was my night. Tomorrow, I'll see how my touchups came along and then clean the bathroom. All will be ready for its finishing on Saturday! Yay! I get to have my bathroom back, much more convienent than using the spare bathroom.

Saturday will be more shopping for my place. Whew I can't wait. In just a few weeks (Right after my Birthday...8.16.70) I should have my place all done save for accent tables in the living room and some plants, pictures etc. Then I can start to have fun again! :)

Although making my place a real home is kind of fun too, but I miss my martinis at The Abbey! :)

Peace and Love,
Eric

Chicken Snob!

Make no clucks about it, I am now a chicken snob!

I made my free range (hormone free, no additives or preservatives) chicken that I bought from Whole Foods last night and it was the BEST chicken I have had in my life!

I didn't even do much to it since I'm doing this quick goofy diet thing to lose some vanity weight before my boat trip.

I put it in a pan with garlic powder, ginger and cummin seed. That's it and it was SOOOOO good.

I will never buy any other kind of chicken again. There just wasn't a slight difference in taste, there was a MAJOR difference!

Those of you that know me personally, you know that when I rave about food, it has to be good. And this was!

"The Secret To Life" Master Plan Step 4 has Officially Begun!!

Sorry I haven't posted much lately.

Let's see, last week was my first week back to Bingo in a while. It was fun as always and I got caught up with some of my bingo friends that I haven't seen in a while.

I picked up my chandelier and installed that on Sunday with Morty's help. It looks great! My whiteboard was also hung back up in the kitchen and I attached the grill thing on the hallway door. Some minor stuff but its the minor stuff that makes the major stuff look that much better!

Saturday, we spent to day in San Diego. We took a bus trip down there! It was sooo much fun! In San Diego, we went to pride and then met with with Tess and Matt and took Morty for his birthday dinner. It was a very yummy Italian restaurant. Mmm-Mmm good!

I will get back to adding pics to my blog entries too!

Today, step 4 in my "I found the secret to life" master plan has officially started.

Step 4 concentrates on my body and getting it to where I want it to be. So today I trade in the coffee for hot lemon water. No more sugar, now I use Stevia Plus.

I will drink 2 glasses of unsweetened cranberry juice (with the Stevia plus added). and for lunch and dinner I will have skinless boneless chicken breasts that have no preservatives or hormones added. Oh, the lemon juice is organic too!

How long will I keep this crazy menu up? Well, full time at least 2 weeks (save Wednesday for qa salad and a chocolate martini...can't play bingo without at least one martini...).

Then, during the week, I will rotate between chicken and salad and on the weekends eat what I want.

I am also back at the gym 4 days a week. The eliptical will help. I burn between 600-700 calories in an hour on that thing!

I will also take a pic of myself today and take a pice every two weeks to help visually track my progress.

Yes, Step 4 has begun!

116 Degrees!

116 Degrees! Ugh! Do you know what that feels like?! I'll tell you, it's fucking hot.

The heat has been too much for even the most mighty air conditioner units. Stores and Restuarants are even hot.

My A/C has been running non stop since May and it is currently 82 degrees in my place.

Now for my day...

It started out very nice and just got better to spite the heat.

I met up with my friend and neighbor Elaine for our Saturday morning breakfasts (when I say "met up" I mean, she came down to my place since it was my turn to host.( We had begals and coffee outside by the pool and chatted for a bit. It was really nice.

Walter and Morty came over and we went shopping. Walter spotted a new chandelier for me. It is so cool, I had to buy it. They had to order it so I will pick it up Friday.

While in the parking lot, Morty noticed there was metal coming out of my front tires (never good) so I swung by the tire store and bought 2 new front tires.

After that we all went swimming in the pool. Some of my neighbors were in it and we all had the best time for hours just laughing.

I gotta say, I love where I live. My place, the complex, the people and the area. My neighbors are soo nice.

Anyways, we ate dinner at Senor Fred (very cool Mexican Place).

It is 9:30 and it is 105 degrees outside still. Sigh. I am going to go back in the pool!

Let there be light!

And there was! In the form of 2 nightstand lamps, and a standing lamp! And it filled my bedroom with a warm cozy glow!

Delivery on those was quick, since they came from another part of the city.

3Day Blinds came and measured my windows for my blinds and I ordered them yesterday.

All that is needed for my room now, is to have 3Day Blinds install the blinds (2" wood, bright white) then a plant for one of the corners and an lcd flat panel TV that I can hang on the wall.

I hung out with Walter last night. We went down to the Fiesta Cantina for some Margaritas and we stopped by his church. It was nice to see Roger. I haven't seen him in a while.

Afterwards we stopped in the frozen yogurt place for the ever so addicting Green Tea Yogurt with Strawberries....Mmmmmmmm

It was nice to go out and have fun. I am looking forward to doing more of that very soon once the touchups are done in the bathroom.

Too hot to move!!!!

Oh my stars and the baby jesus, its just too damn hot to do ANYTHING.

All I have been doing is just floating out in the pool.

It's been like 106 degrees here since...I dunno seems like since time began.

The hot weather has been makin' me a lil cranky but I have been making a list of things to do..3 hour boat cruise in Long Beach Harbor. It'll be a great way to meet new people. Talk, watch the sunset...that's August 12th. The last Saturday before my Birthday.

I am going to start hiking again with the group once the heatwave is over, if it will ever end...

I am thinking on a weekend camping trip Labor Day weekend over on Catalina Island. That should be fun!

My weekend in review! OhBoy

Friday night after work, I went food shopping and took my car in for a much needed car wash and oil, transmission fluid change. I went swimming afterwards.

Saturday it was just too hot to move. I went in the pool in the morning. Elaine had to be at work (the set of Desperate Housewives...lucky her!) so we didn't have our Saturday morning breakfast. Instead, I hung out with some neighbors at the pool. Morty came over and gave me his old computer desk for my spare room. It looks really good! Thanks David.

My furniture came around 7pm. It looks fabulous! The side of the China closet is split though so I have to talk to the store manager today and see when they can get me a new hutch.

My bedroom is so rad though. I put my comforter set on the bed, very cool! My bed looks so cool, I love it love it love it!

I also went to the 3 Day Blinds store, they are coming either today or tomorrow to measure my bedroom window and my kitchen window. I'll post a pic once the blinds are installed!

Sunday, I went shopping for lamps for my bedroom. I have 2 nightstand lamps and one companion stand up lamp on order, they should be here by the end of the week.

My place looks very nice now. A nice warm home. :)

The Special K Pinch...

Remember the old 70s commercials from Special K cereal saying that if you can pinch more than an inch you need to lose weight?

Where did those standards go? Why can so many Americans now pinch a foot instead of an inch.

I've got a theory and would like to turn my independent study into a scientific one. Is anyone capable of assisting?

People say that the reason people are fat now is because people just sit around. Kids don't go out and run around and play in the dirt with their Matchbox cars anymore, they sit in front of the TV and play video games and eat.

At first, I even thought that was the case until I really put some thinking into the subject...

People also say "Oh, don't eat carbs, especially white rice, they are bad for you and will make you gain serious weight."

Well, look at the world around you people. I know plenty of asians who eat white rice all the time and they are ultra skinny people. And they sit around and play games too...

So by now you are asking "Oh Eric, just what is your theory then?"

Well, I am happy to tell you.

Hormones.

Ta-Da, that's it. We inject our cows and chickens with hormones to make them bigger and fatter so we can carve more meat off of them. Then, we eat the same meat that has been infused with all of those fat hormones.

Again, it comes back to our asian friends. Most of the asians that I know eat so much more seafood than beef. To my knowledge I haven't heard of the Gordon's fisherman parading around the oceans giving fat hormones to the fish...

It makes sense if you think about it.

I would like to start a free range diet where the meat has no hormones in it and see what happens...

Quests!

As the work in my fabulopus Sherman Oaks suite winds down, it is time to ramp up my build a better body program! I will slowly come off all sugar this week and start eating better and next week it's nothing but good food. I am also back to the gym today! Yay!

The return of a social life! More Bingo nights! Going out and socializing at coffee shops, Fuel and The Abbey. Me and my shoes are ready! :)

On the 7th day, I rested!

The carpet is in and it looks soooo nice! I moved evrything back and now I can just relax.

It is half time during the World Cup final and after this, I will spend some time in the pool.

I saw The Devil Wears Prada last night with a friend. Very funny movie...lots of good one liners!

My neighbors really rock though. While I was waiting outside for the carpte people to finish, my neighbor Elaine, made me coffee and we had bagels and chatted. We are going to take turns makign eachotehr breakfast every Saturday morning and eat it by the pool.

Hopefully a few othe rneighbors will join in. That is what makes the place in which you live. If you have good neighbors, it can overcome some other problems.

Welp, back to the game!!

Packin' up

Welp, I have moved everything in my living room and dining room into the kitchen, except my new large sofa, it's too big. I'll have to move it outside for a few hours tomorrow morning.

While moving my TV into the kitchen I bashed it up against my newly painted wall and smashed some plaster off. Sigh. I spackled it and when it is dry I'll repaint. It wouldn't have happened, I suppose, if I had friends that would have offered to help me move my stuff. Kind of sucks that no one said "Wow, that's a lot to do for one person, I'll help." But then again, I've come not to expect anything from anyone really.

My bedroom is all packed up too, just have to take apart the bed and move it all in the main bathroom. Then I just have the guest bedroom to do. It's actually going along a bit quicker than I thought which is good. It'll give me time to vacuum one last time. Not much I can do in the way of hanging out because the TV and satelite are disconnected. o0o I could always swim.

Anyways, this will be my last post until Monday or so probably because my PC will be all disconnected. Unless I can get this laptop connected to my sireless which shouldn't be that big o deal.

Yay, new carpet tomorrow! :)

July 4th...the Worldcup, painting nightmare, Firework and the Titanic

Welp, a quick recap...July3rd, Tess and Matt came over and stayed the night.
I woke up on the 4th and put a second paint on my bathroom wall. It looks okay but I am sure when I am through with it, it'll be fabulous. :)

We went down to the Queen Mary for Fireworks. (I love those smiley face fireworks...how cool!)

We took the Russian Submarine tour, which was really cool. I'll have to upload some pics!

They also had a Titanic exibit which was the best exhibition I have ever seen! They just didn't display the artifacts (which they had 300), the had cool mood lighting (wave lights from the ceiling projected on the floor etc.) It started out telling the story and showing some artifacts in mint condition, dishes that looked all shiny and new but as the show went on, the artifacts deteriorated. During the last segment, they showed chandeliers that were all twisted and they had a large sheet of real ice (that looked like a gigantic iceberg) that you touched. The card said that the temperature of the water was actually colder than the block of ice. Things like that really put everything into perspective. Oh, that had a huge tank under the floor filled with water that had a huge engine propellor in it too.

Anyways, it was a great show and a great 4th.

Germany however was knocked out of the World Cup in the final 2 minutes of the second overtime. Sigh.

Tonight is the night I finish my touchups and clear out my place, for tomorrow I get my carpet!!!!

Friday, June 30, 2006

Germany moves on!!!!

Yes!!!! What a nail biting game up to the very end!!! Germany wins it but just barely! Great game!!!!

Whew penalty kicks...very stressful!!!!

Work work work!

The remodeling continued today. After work I got started peeling some loose paint in the bathroom. The same thing happened in there that happened in the kitchen, however this time I had the experience and know how to deal with it! Yay!

While I waited for the spackle to dry, I cleaned up the kitchen and put all of my appliances back...2.5 hours! Crikey!

I went back to the bathroom afterwards and sanded the spackle then retouched up. Did more prep work for tomorrow's primer.

Wow, what a boring blog entry huh. Sorry about that. :)

OH! My carpeting is coming next Saturday! Oh, it's gonna be so rad!

Time to hop in the shower! :)

Shoes and Primer...

I got my shoes today! Oh how fashionable! Oh how fantastic! Oh how very cool! They fit too!

I can't wait to take them out! :)

I also started on my kitchen. I pulled the fridge out and taped around the cabinets. I took off all the wall plates (throwing them away and replacing them with nice new bright white ones).

When I was taking my old blinds out of the window, some of the wall came off with them too... Boy I'll tell ya Mike and his "Mike Specials"...

I spackled the wall, waited for a bit and then went to town putting primer on the walls and ceiling. Poo-Stinky that shit smells.

But I am looking at my kitchen and it's so nice and bright white...and that's just the primer...it looks so clean and happy.

So, I just hopped out of the shower and it is time to max and relax (like Billy Dee Williams in the old Colt 45 commercials).

Tomorrow evening I will paint! Yay! How gloriously gorgeous! I hope the paint will go on ok with one coat. I'll have to do it right when I get home and then check it at 8 or 9 to see if it needs a second. It sure would be nice to finish painting the room tomorrow so I just have to install the switches etc. on Wednesday.

By the way, did I ever mention how I hate off white?? It just looks old and dirty.

All my trim and kitchen is a nice bright white...like my switches and outlets....happy sigh. Bright white just looks so clean...haha okay, I think I inhaled too much primer! :)

Workin' away and beatin' the heat!

Welp, it has been a very productive weekend but I did manage to have some fun and relax a bit.

Friday night, I prepared the rest of my doors for painting and my friend Joel came over and picked up my dining table and chairs and then grabbed some Indian food. It is nice to have them gone but at the same time, a little sad.

Saturday, I put the primer on the doors and my sofas came! Boy are they nice! A little mishap though, the sofas I ordered were a slight olive color but the ones I got were a light tan. I like the tan onces better and they will go better with my carpeting, so I am happily keeping them.

Walter came over and we had dinner and watched some Sex in the City.

This morning (while watching the World Cup) I was vacuuming my old sofas to get off the cat hair when my phone rang. It was Out of the Closet. They were a few hours early. I told them my stuff wasn't ready and they said that maybe they could come back. I continued to clean, determined the old sofas and my dresser would leave my place today.

My friend Mike came over to pick up my old big sacreen TV in my bedroom and while he was here, he was kind enough to help me take the old sofas and dresser out by the curb. This way if Out of the Closet came back, it would be easier for them and if they didn't, well maybe someone would take them.

So everything is gone that needs to be. Another milestone reached, although I must say...saying goodbye to the dresser was a bit sad. I've had that thing since I was born. I think it was my oldest brother's in our room back in Southampton.

After all that, I painted the doors and then I fixed my wall! Well, almost. I cut away all the stuff that was hanging and then put one layer of spackle on and smoothed it with the scraper thingy then I took a quick break. I went in the pool for a bit as it was very hot today.

Now, I am going to tape up the kitchen, remove all the appliances and remove the wall switch plates. My plan is to have everything taped, then apply more spackle so everything is ready to primer tomorrow. Paint Tuesday, rewire the light switches and outlets Wednesday (if I don't go to Bingo!) then do my bathroom the following few days.

Welp, better get taping. I have a craving for Weinershitzel corn dogs and I can't eat until the taping is done!

It hasn't been the most exciting of weekends, but it is stuff I need to get done. :)

Carpet selection has been made!

After looking at a lot of samples, I picked out my carpet. I am going with "Copper Penny" it's a darker brown that has whispers of copper in it. It looks very cool and goes great with the walls (both the light milk chocolate walls and the light olive green). I took a picture of it (click it to enlarge) but It loses something from "real life" to picture.

This is a mile stone but I still have a lot of work to do (especially in the next 2 weeks) before it gets installed. It's all coming together at a rapid pace!

The USA is out.

Sigh. Welp, Germany is still going strong.

Last night I got my kitchen table and chairs ready for my friend Joel to pick up. It's kind of sad seeing your furniture go away, but it is making room for new stuff and its a brand new chapter in my life.

Tonight, its prep work for more painting!

And tracking news on my shoe front, they just left Turin Italy this morning! hehe (Yes, I'm very excited!) :)

Today I will call Out of the Closet and have them pick up my sofas and dresser.

Shoes!!

Must...control...the...urge...to...buy...SHOES!

I am on the verge of buying new blinds, curtains, lCD TV and getting new furniture. Having said that, I saw these shoes online that I want. They are on sale for 370 bucks. Can i resist temptation to buy them and be responsible? Or will I give in and just buy them and hold off the purchase of something until next week. After all, it's only next week...

Okay, Here is a pic of them...

Wire mesh in a wall?! What the fuck?

Okay, so I have the carpet people coming to measure tomorrow and bring me samples. Yay, very good.

But, I wanted to paint my kitchen before the new carpet gets laid down.

I noticed that the paint was cracked so I started to peel it off. It lifted very easily but was very thick. I thought "Hmm, must be because it is oil based".

Well, there is a big gap between the paint and the wall so I figured, I better scrape it all off because it's loose. Makes sense, yes?

So I got my scraper and stuck it in between and what happens? The fucking wall comes off! Big chunks fall to the floor and this big wire mesh thing is sticking out!

What the fuck? haha Sigh. I have no idea what to do now. Should I hire an illegal alien at Home Depot to fix it? Who puts wire in a wall? Why is it there? I suppose I could cover it up, but the paint is all loose...wouldn't that pose a problem? I need help people!

According to my stats, this blog gets 30-40 hits a day and no one posts...For the love of the Baby Jesus, post now and help me!

Just when I was starting to feel good about my home fix-it skills improving, bam, the universe hits me with wired mesh sticking out of my wall.

I swear, all I wanted to do was paint. If there is something fucked up and silly that could happen, it would happen to me.

I need a Redbull and Vodka...

Oh, and here's a pic (click to enlarge)

Friday Friday

What a wacky week in the World Cup! Seems like everyone was waiting to the last second to score a point...Even my beloved Deutschland. Except Argentina...boy did they kick ass this morning!

World Cup aside, I had a nice week. Just went to the gym most of the week, played Bingo on Wednesday. Hamburger Marys bought the restaurant next door and the finally knocked down the wall, so Bingo is now bigger and better than ever. The prizes were awesome too! But we didn't win. It was nice to see some old Bingo pals and I can't wait to go next week.
I think we are all going to El Presidente at lunch today to watch the Mexico game.

This weekend will consist of buying paint for the kitchen and bathroom, watching some matches and of course having some fun. :)

Welp, back to work! :)

Peace and Love,
Eric

Pride!

What a fantastic Pride it was this year! We got there around 2pm or so and immediately went to the Abbey to pound down some Chocolate Martinies and Red Bull and Vodkas!

We were at the Abbey for almost 3 hours having the best time! Shel got lots of good pics which I will upload (once I get them). We did some flirting and Shel got some good lesbo pics...leave it to the straight man at gay pride to fill a memory stick full of tit shots...

The festival was cool! I paid a dollar and won another cum towel. (Well, I actually didn't win one but the towel I won last year shrank in the dryer). But after I told my heart felt story, the guy at the booth gave me a new towel. :)

We hung out for a few hours then went to the Voo-Doo Room for dinner. What a great place! We saw Maria there (R-r-r-r-roses!) A true WeHo staple. You don't know WeHo until you know the Roses Lady!

After dinner, it was back in the festival for more fun and the bands! We joined the live band area just as Animotion was finishing up. Remember them from their hit 80s song "Obession?" They were cool! But after that was The Bangles! I must say these girls kicked ass! Man, can they rock! Yes they of course performed "Manic Monday" and "Walk Like An Egyptian". They really had the crowd going!

Of course there was flirting! I gave this cute guy at the Trevor booth my card. Hopefully he will e-mail. :)

Below are some Bandgles pics that Shel took. He was sobering up by then so they are pretty good haha As always click the pic for a larger version!

The World Cup Begins!

What a great beginning it is! Deutschland winning over Costa Rica 4-2!!!!

YES!

I am a happy man!! :)

What a great game. Terrific goals were scored by both teams...but in the end, it's Germany winning the 3 points :) Here's to moving on! :)

Also, Dr. Who... Sigh I knew he was going to regenerate, but wow what a great episode...I'll miss him, he was a great Doctor. *sniff*

That's all for now, just a quick post. More on the weekend. It's gay pride in L.A. this weekend so I'll be posting some pics of my friends and I havin' ...well, a gay 'ol time. haha :)

Peace and Love,
Eric

P.S. Sorry for typos if any, I'm a bit drunk :)

It's a Wonderful Life

What a great life it is! I've come to a point in my life where everything just seems to be perfect. No drama whatsoever. Ahhhh. Life is nice.

I've spent the past week taking it kind of easy, getting back to L.A. time. I didn't go to bingo but I have been goign to the gym for 1.5-2 hours a night. It feels good to get in a lot of cardio since I was walking about 10 hours a day on my vacation.

I saw X-Men III on Thursday with my friend Douglas. It was so awesome! But if you see it, stay until after the credits are done rolling. You HAVE too!

Friday, after my workout, I had a drink with Sheldon. It was so hot here, I HAD to have a Strawberry frozen margarita!

After that, I had dinner with my friend Guy and hung out at the Galleria to watch a free concert they were having (Every Friday and Saturday all summer long). I saw this woman sitting alone so I joined her. We had a cool chat and the band was really good. What a great night it was!

Saturday, I had breakfast at The Abbey with Walter, or I guess I should say brunch since I finished it off with a creamcicle martini! :)

We then went down near the OC to a furniture store so he could pick out a new bedroom set. Very nice stuff they have there!

We met up with Morty and had dinner at Zach's. We saw our friend Mike there. It was a fun dinner as always. We came back to my place and watched Transamerica. What a great movie!

Sunday was a relaxing day. All I did was see The Davinci Code with Morty. I even went to bed somewhat early to get ready for a busy work week!

Europe, In Reflection

I've been home for a week now, sorry for not posting, I've been real busy getting back into the swing of things but before I go out for the day I just wanted to make a quick post about my social independent study I've been doing!

In all my tavels from the UK and Australia and now some of Europe, I can't help but feel that we, as Americans, certainly need a lot of help when it comes to social living.

It was so nice in Germany. Like in Munchen for example...in the square where the market is, they have these long benches sitting there. You get your beer (Mmmm German beer!) and sit down at a bench right next to strangers on either side of you and just start gabbing away.

What do we do here? The complete opposite. We have our little invisible space around us and do our best not to let people in. When we go to the movies we make sure we leave atleast one seat open between us and the person next to you. We are constantly on our cell phones so we don't have to talk or interact with strangers. Hell, I remember one of the first things we are taught when we are young is "Don't talk to strangers." Why the hell not? My life has been so much more interesting since I've started talking with strangers!!!

And the old people....They live! Old people in their seventies are riding bikes at night time. Those that have canes are walking too. Some even had two canes. Double barrel cane-age and they are still out walking. And smoking. Smoking and walking with 2 canes!!! They manage just fine!

Old people in America? What do they do? Get a handicap card for their car just because they are old. They drive to their pharmacy to get their pills (because we all need pills...every television commercial tells us so. Feeling depressed? Take a pill. Can't get it up? Take a pill. Feeling depressed because you can't get it up? Take another pill!) and then go home and wait to die.

We are raised to believe that we are such a free country and that we are ahead of the times. (Laughable since our dck of a president wants to add bigotry into the constitution to ban same sex marriage).

I remember this one resturant in Prague, where they had something in Czech written on the wall. The words were written around a drawing of a naked woman with the "O" being her vagina. Such a silly sign but I thought "Wow, that could never happen back home". Some American idiot would sue the restaurant and shut them down claiming it tramatized their kid.

Yet its perfectly okay to sit down and they watch all this violent programming on tv with their children. So fucked up. If I had a kid, I'd much rather have him/her see a naked body on television that someone getting their head blown up and murder after murder.

So they are my two cents on how our society basically sucks. :) Please comment and lets all start a conversation on it.

An the trip note, it was fabulous. You all read the posts I made when I was there. Great time but ya know, I came back realizing that I love L.A. Yeah, it's a good life...

Amsterdam!

Hi All,

Amsterdam is a real hoot! Plenty to see and do!

We met this Canadian woman at dinner and chatted with her for a long time (I love chatting up people. Always making traveling friends :>)

Yesterday we walked around and explored the city and then took a candlelight wine and cheese tour of the cities canals. What a great way to see the city! I highly recommend it to anyone that will be traveling here. Another funny mishap happened...I was leaning to the middle of the table intent of taking a picture of something off the side of the boat when I heard a sizzle followed by burning haif haha I burnt some of my hair when I leaned to close to the candle. Oh Lord" as Douglas would say. haha You can always count on me to do something stupid! :)

After the boat tour we walked around the famous Red Light District and looked at all of the prositutes in the windows while the aroma of pot filled the streets. It was so funny hearing the comments from the young men...particularly young American men. Comments like "Dude, I'd like to do them all!"

Well, I hate to tell him, but I can spot a tranny at 20 paces and about 1/3 of those chicks had dicks. but I'll let him have his fantasy. A little exploration is always good. :)

Today, it has ben raining all day but we didn't let that stop us. We went to the Ann Frank House. How very interesting and depressing at the same time. I only read parts of the book when I was younger so I bought a special copy at the museum.

So sad she had to live like that only to be caught and die in a concentration camp.

After the Ann Frank House we hit the main shopping area...

Now, my suitcase is very full and very heavy. I fear it is over the weight limit to put on the plane. What can I do about it? Well, but something I can carry on that holds a lot of the heavy stuff. Yup that's right. After just bashing them I bought myself a man purse. But since I own it now, I'll refer to it as a shoulder bag. :) haha

Hey I need it for the plane. Will I carry it around town? Nah. Not for the fact that I still think it's girly (Hell, I always do my own thing anyway) but I just don't carry anything with me really. Just my wallet and cell phone.

My body is shutting down now from always being on the go. My clothes smell like smoke (and thats just from second hand smoke!). That's one thing I love about living in L.A. no icky smoke everywhere.
I suppose that's a post for another time, when I get back, but even though I loved this vacation, I have found a new love for L.A. and really can't see myself living anywhere else. We have it all back home! I will also go into how I am going to make some more minor changes in my life when I return.

I suspect this will be my last post until I am home in the arms of Dizzy, Doodle and close friends.

Take care all!

Love,
Eric

Memorials

Spent the day hanging out in East Berlin mostly. Dogging the rain when it would hit suddenly.

At one point I felt like Superman...It was sunny and then suddenly, bam...rain and wind! I quickly ran behind a pillar, pulled out my umbrella from my bag and popped it open, stepped out from behind the pillar and walked passed the crowd of people all getting wet hehe

One thing I have to say ("What's that Eric, you only have ONE thing??? What a joyous day!!") is that I know of a lot of Jewish people that don#t want to come to Germany because of what happeneed in the past. All I have to say is that, they should. It would do them good.

These Germans are an amazing people. They have taken amazing steps to correct what happened in the past. There are so many jewish memorials here, it would probably take a whole vacation to see them all.

Today, I went to the site of the famopus book burning in BebelPlatz. They have this huge memorial (big stack of books) on the site with a glass window on the ground that looks into a silent room with empty bookcases...very sad. But then yxou raise your head and what do you see all around you??? A University and one of the best libraries in the world! Diversity and higher learning everywhere. Love it.

Anyways, it is near the end of the day here. All of this walking makes me tired! I#m gonna stop in the bar at the corner for a quick drink then call it a night. Tomorrow is just a day of light shopping then to bed early as I have to get up at like 3am for the rain to Amsterdam.

Tschuess Alles!
Eric

Just arrived in Berlin

Hi All!

We just arrived in Berlin, via train from Praha (Prague).

I had to pop in an internet cafe to reply to our hotel in Munich because I left my hairdryer there....oh no!! :)

They are going to ship it on.

Prague was wonderful! I ended up falling in love with the city and found myself wanting a few more days to explore the city...so many alley ways and shops :)

We took a ghost tour (Prague is known as the most haunted city in Europe). The tour was hockey but our tour guide reminded me of Catherine. She looked so much like her!

Late at night, we decided to check out another pub. It was called Pinnochio's. Well, we walked in and it was full o cute boys! We got our drinks (Redbull and Vodka remember...) and were soon approached by 2 very very cute boys. We sat for a while and had some drinks, they were in the Czech army even! Yum! BUT...

It turns out they were prostitutes and wanted to get it on. Sigh. We turned them down, but daaaang sometimes it sucks having morals! haha

They were also having a pot and drink party. I took a pic of the sign, maybe I'll post it when I get back.

They had a real awesome Astrological clock in the city square that I took a lot of pics of so Tess and I can go over it with a fine tooth comb! hehe

Yesterday, we took a 6 hour city tour. It was a lot of fun. We watched the changing of the guard at Praha Castle, went in the Cathedral, around Charles bridge etc.

THEN, it was time for the boat tour (sections of Praha have a small river that looks like Venice). We got on the boat and started the tour when all of a sudden, the electrical panel under the captain's wheel started to smoke and catch on fire. haha

I'm beginning to think we are bad luck...hahaha

Well, we switched boats and continued the tour which was great. We met some other people while touring and chatted them up all day. I swear, I am such a people person. I've talked to so many people on this trip.

So, now we are here in Berlin and just checking the place out before we eat, relax and then hit the pub at the corner. Mmm German Beer!

We are staying in a plaza called "Nollendorfplatz" for anyone that is curious.

Welp, more in a few days I suppose.

Man, my site has gotten a lot of hits from Germany and one from Prague (I hope it was the cute waiter from TGI Fridays) haha

Anyway, thanks for checking my blog guys! Feel free to comment or send me some email at eric@fallenstar.com

Peace and Love,
Eric

Prague

Okay I am in Prague at an internet cafe and the keyboard is in Czech and its hard to figure out so bare with me.

Dont be fooled by first impressions of this city. I was. At first all I saw was graffiti everywhere and it was a turn off but then in the main citz center, my faith in my hopes of what Prague would be like were not disappointed...what a great citz...lots of cafěs and bars, in plain site and in little knooks...very very cool.

I am very tired...the train ride here was 9 hours but we slept the whole way.

We just finished a haunted tour of the city and i took some awesome pics of a special astrological clock in the citz citz (Tess zoull love it

okay, this keyboard is on mz nervez and its making this post hard to read im sure so talk to you all soon.

Tomorrow is a 6 hour tour of the city which should be fun, more on that i guess when we make it over to Berlin.

Peace and Love,
Eric

I love Munich

Just aniother quick note as it is around 11:40 pm. We woke up really early today (as we usually do on vacation) and purchased our tickets at the trainstation for Prague.

I won't go into all the day to day details, but the highlight of the day was going to the concentration camp in Dachau. It was so sad and even scary being there but I am glad I had a chance to experience history. I got really angry when I saw the main gate. Translated from German it basically said "Work is freedom".

Sigh.

On another more freaky note, I ran into someone here who is from
Switzerland but now lives in Munich.

The beginning of the conversation went something like this:

*He grabs my arm and forces me around"

I respond "Ja?" Appropriately in German.

"Oh, I'm sorry. I thought you were from USA."

"I am."

"I thought so! You look familiar. You go to Mickeys or Rage don't
you?"

How weird is that?!
For those of you who don't know, Rage is a club in West Hollywood.

It's s Small World After All...

Welp, time for some late night ice cream. My feet are killing me and I'm done for the night.

Oh oh, another quick funny story!

Last night we were walking around and decided we wanted to go for a drink "Redbull and Vodka, my new fav. incase ya'll wanna buy me one:>)

We saw a bar with a rainbow flag so we decided to go in.

hahaha

Well, as soon as we entered, I froze and I could tell everyone saw my jaw drop to the floor. It was like in the movies when a record is scratched to a hault off of the turn table...

Everyone was either naked or in their underwear. We aren't talking young and cute but rather old and in some cases, very very fat just sitting naked on the bar stool.

The bartender says "We are having a special party." and points to the 8 euro cover charge.

Morty replies " Oh, sorry, didn't realize."
and I quickly shot out 'Okay, we'll be going then."

We didn't give them time to respond. We quickly left laughing our butts off and grabbed a drink at the hotel bar.

Ahh, vacations...ahh life. I telll ya there is always something I can laugh about! :)

Peace and Love,
Eric

Guten Tag from Deutschland!

Hello All!
Welp,we made it here safe! We are having a great time.

We spent 2 days in Frankfurt, what a fun time that was. The city is lil industrial (not as much as Glasgow was in Scotland though). We spent the two days just touring the city and taking a lot of pics.

We are in Munich now. So far we love it. I went shopping (of course) adn we just had dinner. We are resting a bit before we go out to a club or bar for a drink.

The wireless works great here in the room.

Maaaaaaannnnnn...the boys here are SUPER cute! Very nice too!

The only weird thing is that they all carry purses. These things have popped up in L.A. too last year. I dunno, I don't think guys should really carry them. You see a straight guy with a purse and he wonders why he gets hit on by some queen... :)

Having a great time though and I am even behaving with all of the German pastries! Kinda...

Welp, just a quick update to let you know know we didn't die getting here. :)

I'll post more later perhaps and if not then I will post more details in my blog and trip pics on my main site!

Peace and Love,
Eric

Vacation!!!! Yay! :)

It's 10:52pm PDT and I have just finished packing for my vacation! Tomorrow we are off for our European Tour!

I love vacations...Traveling is one of my favorite things to do. Although I doubt anything could compare to last year's Australian adventure, this trip should be very exciting and fun!

A quick run down:
Germany
Frankfurt
Munich (Day trip to The Black Forest)
Berlin
Czech Republic
Prague
Netherlands
Amsterdam

It's gonna be fun fun fun! I will try to blog a little bit if I feel like taking a quick few seconds at an internet cafe, if not well then I won't. :)
Either way, my main site Fallenstar.com will be updated upon my return with pictures from this trip.

And Yes! Littleman IS going! :)

Peace and Love,
Eric

The Return of Tess!

This weekend was a blast and much too short!

I saw Tess for the first time in a long wqhile. We got into a tiff and didn't really speak for a while. But when you love someone and they are truly in your heart, I've found forgiveness is only a phonecall or e-mail away.

Tess came up from San Diego on Saturday and brought her honey, Matt. He is wa really nice guy! The council approves! haha

We all go together and went to The Stinking Rose (She really wanted to go there). It was Tess, Matt, Walter, Morty and Horus.

Here are a few pics. As always click to enlarge!

Here is Matt and Tess:

Here is a pic of everyone at The Stinking Rose (Minus me, I was taking the picture!)

And Finally, here is a picture of Tess and me!

We plan on all getting together again on the 4th of July on the Queen Mary for Fireworks and a nice schnazzy din-din!

Cherry Tomato!

That's what my butt looks like after getting a nice burn at the tanning salon last night. I knew I shouldn't have pushed the bed to 8 mins. Ah well. At least I'm another color than "pasty". :)

I just hope I don't accidentally call out a false bingo tonight and get paddled by Belle-Aire! :)

A Day Without an ^Illegal^ Immigrant

Call me an ass if you want, but I found today to be more enjoyable with allthe illegal immigrants marching down town. There were no lines in the store, the tanning salon was empty and the 101 at rush hour had little to no traffic ( a BIG deal for those of you that know the 101).

For me, a day without an illegal immigrant was less stressful and more relaxing.

How was your day?

Weekend Recap!

Welp, this weekend was a mix of work, play and fun!

Friday night I worked hard to finish sanding my doors. I sanded them, cleaned off all of the sanding dust and taped around them.

Saturday morning I applied a coat of primer to everything (took only 3 hours) and then Morty came over. We went shopping for Tess's birthday presents as well as for some comfortable new sneakers. Gotta be comfy on the trip!

We met up with Walter afterwards and all met up for our weekly Saturday dinner. We went to Zach's and had a great meal as always and spent some time talking to our new friend Mike (he works there). We came back to my place and watched a few more episodes of Sex and the City.

Sunday morning I woke up and painted my doors a lovely semi-gloss ultra bright white (i hate hate hate off white..what's the point? Just looks like old aged white...)

They look great! I am very happy!

Afterwards, I went furniture shopping with Morty. I picked out my dining set, bedroom set and sofas. I just have to pay for them and they will hold them until after I get my carpet.

Disney John came over and we all headed to Marie Callenders for dinner. Well, I just had dessert and I filled up on chips and salsa watching Sopranos. :)

We ended the evening with Desperate Housewives.

It was a nice mix of a weekend. Nothing too exciting for the blog, but I thought I'd post it anyway.

I miss the Abbey. I've been so busy, I haven't gone out and had drinking fun in a while. I will do more of that after the trip! o0o0o the trip... :)

Tuesday Blues

Not really, but I couldn't think of a good title...:)

Just a quick update as nothing too exciting has happened in my life since the last post. Morticia (or Morty as he now wants to be called....who wants to be called Morty?) moved into his new place in Burbank. I'm sure he's a lot happier and it's nice having him just 10 mins. down the road.

I continued to sand the doors in my place, I will do more tonight. My goal is by the end of the week to have them all painted and lookin' fantastic!

I dunno about bingo tomorrow, much to do but ya never know ;) sometimes I just can't keep myself away. Mmmm KOBE burger! :)

So has everyone been up too? C'mon, I know you read this thing, I have stats! :) Post!

Previous Bingo pics as promised!

Okay, as promised....here are a few pics from bingo from a while back...sorry it took awhile, but hey, I've been busy! As a reminder, click on the pics to enlarge them! (All pics listed in this post were taken by my good friend Sheldon...drunk and sober! :) )

These are few pics are from Bingo when Mo Collins (From MadTV famously known chiefly by her character Lorainne) showed up and played with Belle-Aire's bingo balls...

Here is a Pic of Mo calling out a ball as Lorainne! I did my Lorainne impression to her and she actually said it was really good! :) "Uhh uhh uhh!"

Here is a pic of Mo and me. Too blurry but I thought I'd post it anyway...

And the final pic of Bingo Mo night with taken with my friends Matt and Steve with the beautiful Mo Collins in the middle!

The following week at Bingo...Guess who was one of the guest celebrity Bingo ball callers?..You guessed it, *ME!* hahaha What a fun night it was!

Here is a pic!

Here is a pic of my friend Roger and I having fun that night. It was Roger's first time at Bingo. He is *SO* much fun to play bingo with!

And the final pic pic of the night is a pic of Roger, me and Walter. What great pals to have!

Who ever said playing bingo is boring, obviously has never played it in West Hollywood! :)

This catches you all up on the pics I owe. I hope you enjoyed them!

Bingo!

Last night was Bingo night. What a great night it was! I went there early on my own and had a drink while reading the latest issue of "Frontiers". I chatted with Bingo Boy for a bit and he gave me a "Bingo VIP Card" haha Now I don't have to print out the e-mails for double games, just show them my card! :)

About 1/2 hour later, my new friend Douglas showed up, followed by Walter.
Bingo was a hoot. The Celebrity Guest was Adrienne Zucker from Days of Our Lives. She was a guest back in November I think. Again, she was totally awesome.

Here's a pic of us! Remember, click on the pics to enlarge!

She's a very nice person and I hope she comes back again soon!

Here is another pic of her posing for my camera, it's a bit blurry (a few chocolate martinis will do that!)
Roger showed up about half way through and sat with us. He is SO much fun at Bingo! When G-50 was called (The call back is from Saturday Night Live..."It's the Sally-O'Malley G...G-50! I like to kick and stretch and kick cuz I'm 50! 50 Years old with my camel toe!") Roger kept yelling at Adrienne "What's a Camel Toe?" She replied "I'd show you but I don't have one! I'm wearing a dress!"

haha

Anyways, it was a blast as usual!

Candy, however, moved to Amsterdam so I am going to try my bext to meet up with her when I go on vacation. That's be really rad!

A rainy sky, a power tool and a nice relaxing weekend

This weekend was a weekend of much needed rest!

It started out on Friday when a heavy rain. I sat with the cats and took a few naps and just did nothing for a while but enjoy the sound of the rain falling. It was nice.

I decided to get off my lazy butt though (just briefly!) and go to Homo Depot and (gasp) BUY an electric sander so I can sand my doors and bathroom walls etc. so the water based paint will go on over the old oil based.

So, feeling rather butch, I bought my first ever power tool, came home and took another nap before trying it out! :) It worked nicely but I have to get some rougher sandpaper.

Friday night, my friend Roger came over and we watched Narnia. It was my third time but his first. :) I love that movie.

Saturday rolled around and Hmmm....what did I do Saturday...Oh I went shopping with Morticia for some much needed bling! I ended up buying a really cool silver necklace (I don't like gold...not my my skin tones anyway) and then we met up with Walter and we all had dinner at The Stinking Rose in Beverly Hills.. It's always been one of my favorite restaurants. It was Walter's first time there and he loved it! For the first time in all the years I have been going there, they had all of the rooms opened up! We ate in the grotto..the vampire room! Fake cobwebs everywhere and stuff.....very cool!
I bought some funny hot sauces for my Mom, so I'll ship those to her soon.
We got dessert afterwards back in the valley at one of my favorite dessert places, Humphrey's frozen yogurt. I ordered my usual (Chocolate frozen yogurt with peanut butter and cookie dough).
We watched a few episodes of Sex and the City and called it a night.

Sunday, I noticed my cel phone had been acting funny. It wouldn't ring but I found out voice messages were being stored in my phone. Weird.

We went to see Adam and Steve at the sunset 5. We got there a bit early and strolled around Virgin records for a bit. The movie was okay, but a little weird. We ate a California Pizza Kitchen afterwards (where I got my usual Thai Chicken Pizza...yummy!) then came back home and watched the Sunday shows (Sopranos and Desperate Housewives).

So, here I am back at work. I cut out coffee so I am back on my hot lemon water. Yum. haha.

No Stutz's Coconut Creme Egg this year...

...I must be crazy! I told my Mom not to get me one because they are too fattening. Sigh, but oh the chocolatey and coconutty goodness.....MMmmmmmm

Oh Well, small price to pay for having a better body, but MAN I want one.

Last night I was haunted by the smell of fudge brownies...I could smell them plain as day like they were baking in the kitchen. Mmmmm

On the verge of a 3 day weekend. I'm excited because I get to have fun all weekend. I'm even gonna buy some bling for myself ! :) oo0oo0o0 Bling!

Barby is coming for a visit too in June! I love it when my friends visit! I haven't seen her in a few months so it'll be nice to have her and her family here :)

I hate slow people

No, I'm not talking about retarded people just people that move and think SsssLllllOooooWwww.

You know the kind....they drive slow, they walk slow, they think slow.

Sometimes, it's just too much for a Leo to take! For all you fire signs, you know what I'm talking about.

A few I.e.'s...

When someone is switching lanes to the lane in front of you or worse out of your lane to the lane next to you...they take forever, they just inch the car along over and over and over until finally they are in the next lane and you can put your foot on the gas and pass them.

The slow person behind the counter scanning your items while talking to a co-worker. It's just like.."Here, let me just do it."

Anyways, I was going to post more but I have to get back to work. You get the idea. Enough bitchin' for now. :)

Great Gagily Gooks!

Whew, what a weekend!

Busy, busy but soon I will take a break!

It all started out on Friday. I bought my supplies Friday afternoon at lunch time and Friday night when I came home from work, the painting of my bedroom began. Ugh Ugh Ugh! haha

First off, the paint very very watery (Never buy Glidden paint!) so it took me *3* hours just to paint my room!
While painting, I was kneeling painting toward the bottom of the wall behind the big screen tv. When I stood up, the corner of the TV dug into my back and ripped at my flesh, cauing a tear about 6-9 inches in my skin. Bleeding and screaming in agony, I stood up and lost my balance. I fell into the hydrogen lamp which fell over on the floor causing the glass bowl on top to shatter all over.

I slit my thumb on the wall scraper. It felt like a big papercut on my thumb, no even worse, a cardboard cut! Then a blister the size of a pee appeared over the split area rendering my thumb useless!

Ouchie!

haha

Saturday, I woke up and expected to hear birds singing while I stetched and looked at my beautiful new green walls. Well, there were no birds and the paint looked like shit. Not only was it blotchy and would require a second or third coat, but the color was this old person antique puke green. Immediately I got pissy and said that if I have to go to Homo Depot and buy more paint and paint the room AGAIN, I'm going to do it in a color that wasn't so revolting!

So, I picked a nice light olive color that looks great! I really love it! (Back to using Behr paint). I then started to redo my switches and outlets before Morticia came over. (My goal was to have it all done before he came over so we can hang out and do something fun for a change!) I re-wired and put on my new light switch. Boom! it worked! I redid the telephone jack! Boom, it worked! I re-did 3 outlets! Boom, they worked! I thought "Yes! I did learn something!"

Morticia came over and then it went all wrong. We were down to our last two and we couldn't get them to work. Realizing they must be connected, we still couldn't figure out the problem. Finally after 4 hours at 7pm I gave up and called a electrician. It was after hours on a weekend so they said the charge to come out would be 150 bucks. I grumbled, but with wires hanging out of my wall, there was little else I could do but accept their offer.

Well, this smelly blue collar man comes in my place, I explain the situation and he says "Before I start any work I have to write you out a quote". a few minutes later he hands me an estimate for 500 bucks! I was so mad I promptly kicked him and his horrible B.O. smell out of my place and called Mike (My old boss and friend). Since he is a manly man and owned his own house with his wife and kids, I knew he had to know what was going on! Sure enough he did! He helped me correct the problem over the phone (The outlet connected to the light switch had a crossed wire) and at 10:30 at night all was well. Whew

Morticia and I got some food and watched Sorpranos from the week before then I just fell asleep. I slept 11 hours.

Sunday, I decided I wasn't going to do anything paint related. Morticia came over and we spend the day searching for hotels for our trip. We got them all booked except for Amsterdam. We will do that this week.

So, here it is Tueday. I am going to Homo Depot at lunch to but a gallon of Ultra Pure White Semi-Gloss for the doors and trim in my bedroom and finiching the room up tonight. It looks so good so far.
