Still kickin'...

Locations of visitors to this page
Just a quick post...not much to report here. I am doing well on my gym activities, people now say they can really see a difference which makes me feel good.

I think I am fine now to go home but need to do a little more before my Hawaii trip and by Pride (June) I should be looking good hehe

On the World of Warcraft front, I am now level 20, just taking my time, questing and mining minerals for my jewelry making.

It's fun playing online, I hang out with Tess and sometimes her Fiance. I've grouped a few times with Sheldon too.

Tomorrow is the last day of my "Month Lockdown". I should be ready to go out and have some fun, but ya know. I am having fun and a lot of aspects of my life that I used to enjoy, I just don't want anymore. I suppose you just don't realize how toxic some situations or people are in your life until you've been away from it for a while.

Movin' on...

A black cloud over everyone?

Boy, everyone I talk to today is depressed about something.

I'm a vibe type person and can pick up people's vibes very very easily. Sometimes it can be a bit overpowering. All this icky sad type vibe. I just wanna leave and hang out at the beach.

World of Warcraft

Welp, since Tuesday (when The Burning Crusade came out) I am back in the World of Warcraft!

I play a Draedei and am currently Level 13. Instead of focusing on gaining levels, I have been doing a lot of mining to bring my miniong and Jewelry skills up. I've been kicking ass too. I can make stuff so many levels higher than I can even use hehe.

Aside from that, life has been quiet. Still doing my own thing. My body was at a standstill last week. Not losing anything, but not gaining any either. And because of this game, I only made it to the gym twice. I know...I know, that has stopped as I am back to the gym today in full swing.

Progress Report!!!!

Okay, so it has been one week since I started my detox diet to help cleanse my body and jump start me to my goal weight. How much did I lose?

Well, Since last Saturday (just one week) I have lost 9 pounds. Yup, *9* pounds!

I have a very accurate doctor's type scale in my bathroom, so I know it's an accurate weight measurement.

I can already see a big difference in my body. I will have achieved my goal next weekend if I continue to lose at this rate, but I think I wanna push it even further and go for really skinny :)

Today if my day off from the gym. I made it there 6 days this week. so today is a day to give my body to rest. I am still doing my detox diet though.

Today, I am just staying in my apaprtment all day. Do some trimming and face/skin care and just relax.

What else have I been up to?

Last night I saw Pan's Labryinth with my friend Douglas. I recommend everyone go see it. It is the best movie I have seen in a long time. What she finds in the Labryinth so what I used to dream of finding outside when I was a little kid.

I just loved it (so did Douglas). It was made in Spain and has subtitles, so be prepared for that (I know some people don't like subtitles). Well worth the 10.75. AND I didn't get anything to eat or drink. sigh, was hard to smell the popcorn without getting any hehe.

A nice retreat

I have having a nice retreat away from things.

After work, I go to the gym, do some chores if any, eat dinner and then light some candles, incense and meditate. Along with some good skin care! Daily cleansing and weekly exfoliations and masks keep you looking Fabulous!

I've also added salad and fruit (apples!) to my diet.

Here is the quick rundown:

My menu:

Breakfast - Hot lemon water with Stevia plus sweetener (all natural sweetener…the only one I can use)

Snack - 10 almonds

Lunch - Special salad (Just lettuce, a cut up piece of chicken and 2 tablespoons of Flaxseed oil)

Big glass of unsweetened cranberry juice (with Stevia all natural sweetener added)

Snack - 1 apple

Dinner – 2 Chicken breasts (using only garlic, cumin seed, parsely, ginger)

And water throughout they day.

It is very yummy. Today is my first day without a caffeine withdraw headache, so that is purged from my system. Yay! It just feels good to give the body a little kick.

Nothing much to report

Just doing my thing. Although, yesterday at the gym, I could barely do the routine I have been doing for a few weeks now. I dunno why or what changed (besides doing my detox diet) but I was dying! Barely able to complete my cardio on the elliptical!

My shirt usually gets all sweaty, but yesterday it was beyond wet. Dunno why. Anyone have any thoughts?

I just paid off my deposit for my Hawaii vacation. Just 5 days, 4 nights but it will be so nice to go back again and take the time to relax.

I'm such a social person, I can only imagine my mood in a few weeks with all this staying at home until the end of the month hehe.

But I am getting my needed relaxation when I am home. One of the thhings I love doing more than anything is going out to a really nice restaurant (there are SO many within walking distance even) but alas, not until my body detox is done.

I am having a good time cooking my chcicken though. I missed cooking. I didn't cook for a while, with being single and all. I used to love cooking when I was in a relationship.

Fantasy meal tonight: (all homeade of course)
Butternut Squash soup
Freshbread
Oven baked garlic chicken
white shoepeg corn
potatoes al gratin
Pots De Creme for dessert

Takin' care of me...

Today I woke up and was very relaxed about starting my day. I officially started my detox day with my hot lemon water and my 10 almonds. I washed it down with a tablespoon of flaxseed oil too. Actually that stuff isn;t bad at all.

I went to the gym and did my "Front Routine":

30 mins. on the Elliptical - Level 12, Crossramp 13
Pec Fly - 3 sets of 10 @ 80 lbs. (Gotta bump that up, was a bit too easy)
Overhead Press - 3 sets of 10 @70 lbs.
Arm Curls - 3 sets of 10 @70 lbs.
30 mins. on the Treadmill - Incline 2.0, Speed 3.7
8 Minute Abs DVD

I keep a log book everyday of my Gym time everyday with not only what I do but if the weights are easy, medium or hard so I know to increase them when I approach the machine. I will have a hot body this summer, I swear!

Here is a tip for all of you gym people: Shower BEFORE you go to the gym, or if you can;t atleast refresh your deotorant. Smelly people at the gym is just gross. Actually, smelly people anywhere is gross...

After the Gym, I stopped at Ralph's and pick up some aluminum foil and ziplock bags. I Divided and labeled my chicken according to days of the week and placed them in the freezer and fridge. I also divided my almonds up.

Right now I am cooking 4 Organic chicken breasts. I just got a shower and shaved (didn't feel like doing it in the morning).

Tonight is the L Word and Desperate Housewives. I'll also exfoliate and do some facial skin care.

I won't report all my gym stuff here everyday as that would be quite boring to read. :) I just wanted to post so everyone gets a feel of what I am doing. I am working hard!

Wow, What a busy day!

I woke up and had some carrots for breakfast/brunch. I didn't want to do the gym on an empty stomach.
I did my 8 Minute Ab DVD (I swear that thing is like soft porn).

At the gym, I did my usual routine. Today was "Back Day" meaning I focused on my back muscles. No legs as they are already muscular and get a good enough workout on the Aerobics I do. Today's routine was:
30 mins. on the Elliptical (Level 12, Crossramp 13)
Wrist Curls (3 sets of 10 @ 30 lbs.)
Side bends (3 sets of 12 @35lbs. - These are for the love handles)
Triceps Extension (3 sets of 10 @ 90lbs.)
Seated Row (3 sets of 10 @ 100lbs.)
30 mins. on the Treadmill (Incline 2.0, Speed 3.7)

After the gym, I stopped by Whole Foods so that I can stock up on my supplies to start my body "Detox"

Starting tomorrow and until the end of January, I am on a strict body Detox. No Sugar, no salt and only Organic food will be going into my body. Today I bought:

Calcium/Magnesium Vegaterian Suppliments
Liquid Flax Seed Oil (1 tsp. a day)
Organic Lemon Juice (one glass in the morning instead of coffee)
Unsweetened Organic Cranberry Juice (2 big glasses durng the day, better than plain old water)
Raw Organic Almonds (10 a day for that "necessary" fat.
14 lbs. of Free Range Organic Skinless and Boneless Chicken Breast.

Total cost: $226.35

Granted, the flaxseed oil, suppliments and some juice will be used longer than one week. Boy, eating Organic sure costs a lot. Now, I am not drinking the lemon water or the unsweetened Cranberry juice with something sweet. I am using an all natural sweetener called "Stevia Plus" also found at Whole Foods. I didn't buy any today because I already have a lot of it here and in work.

I have 2 reasons for detoxing my body (1. to help lose some weight and meet my 8% bodyfat loss in the first quarter of this year. and 2. to get rid of my cravings for all the bad sugars..grr the holidays..i gained *1* pound! ugh!

After shopping, I came home and took down all of the Christmas decorations and put the tree out. My place looks so empty and bare now. I vacuumed up all the pine needles too.
I ordered my Chicken Sa-Tay appitizer and Thai Iced Tea from Lannathai for dinner and now at 8:24 I can now relax and veg.

A month without fallenstar

Remembeer The Year Without a Santa Claus and a Day Without a Mexican?

Well, it is now "A month without fallenstar"

I am disappearing from the world for a month (minus this blog ofcourse!) No more onlne chat rooms, no going out on weekends, no Bingo even!

I am spending from now until the end of January just going to the gym after work, detoxing my body with a special diet and detoxing my mind with meditation.

There are many personal benefits to this for me:
  • Keep focused on the gym to meet my Q1 goal (maybe reach it early!)
  • Stay focused on my special detox diet by not going out to eat on the weekends with friends.
  • Reflect on my life as to where I've been and where I'm going whil staying away from other people's drama.
  • Use my home time to be more creative instead of wasting it in chat rooms.
So there you have it. This month will go down in history as the month without fallenstar.

I wonder if someone will draw me a picture in crayon of someone crying while singing "I'll have a blue January, without you..." haha :)

The online Gay Community just sucks.

Although I had a fabulous time at bingo last night, when I came home, I went online briefly to check mail. I even signed up on a new website someone told me about that was supposed to be great for dating. It turned out to be just another hookup site where a lot of the posts were about drugs and unsafe sex.

Tina this, 420 that. It's like, sigh, how old is everyone, 17?

It used to be that peoeple would post a face pic and (if they had one) keep a naked picture locked and private) but now it's the other way around. A naked picture is posted without the face and the face picture is kept private.

I don't care what your body looks like. You could have a total 6 pack but if your face looks like it just got run over by a truck, it ain't gonna happen...

Chatrooms and dating websites have become nothing more than digital bath houses now.

I'm done with it.

To quote The Cure: "It's the perfect day to throw back you head and kiss it all goodbye."

Icky Bronchitis

Oh no! I started getting a cold after Christmas (but you know those Zicam swab things really helped). I have Bronchitis now though that made me take a trip to the doctor's office.

I have 5 days of anti-biotics and an inhaler to take. I've never taken one of those, pretty funky.

Needless to say, I've been pretty tired lately and I javen;t been to the gym in a while, totally messing up my program, but once I am able, I will be back on track.

I've got to be fabulous for my trip back home in Feb. and Hawaii in March!

Today, I wish I was at thebeach watching the dolphins jump in and out of the water or at Glen Ivy

Mmm, that sounds so good right now. I love spas and massages. Would love to be covered in that red mud right now just baking in the sun.

This is going to be such a fun year! I am really going to take advantage of living in the wonderful city of Los Angeles!
