Yesterday, I had lunch with my friend K.D.. We've decided to get together every weeks to each other status updates on our writing endeavors.
Now that Tarot is all finalized and Pooka has been updated and finalized, I am ready to send them out. The trouble was, I didn't know where to go from there.
K.D. was great to point out that the next step was writing "Query letters". That's the letter you send to agents enticing them to want to read your script. K.D. gave me some great pointers and after work, I went home and looked up some samples and completed a first rough drafted of a query letter for Pooka. I have a few edits to do on it, then I'll do one for Tarot. For next weeks meeting, K.D. will tell me whats good and whats bad about it. When the letters are as perfect as they're gonna get, I'll send them out.
I am so excited to finally be doing something with my writing!
My friend John is working on publishing some stuff online and is about to start writing something new.
Getting back into my writing and talking shop with friends really made me realize I really did miss being creative and having that element around me.

I got your pooka screenplay but I have no time to read it today. I will read it over the weekend...off to Dorney PArk with the kids again!
Aww Dorney Park! When do they close for the season? I would like to get home before then! We could take Mom :)
They are open until Halloween, but I think the water park closes in Sept.
